14. When I was 17 years old at U-High, we performed ‘Bye Bye Birdie.’ It was my
senior year and I never thought I’d get to experience that show again. Fast
forward 14 years, and I have the privilege and honor of not only picking this
show for the season, but being able to direct it too. With such a crazy and
busy schedule, this show has had its challenges. As a cast, we have
encountered hospitalizations, surgery, illness, car accidents, and over-exhaustion.
Luckily, we all pulled through and have had wonderful eight
weeks of rehearsing. We have become a big family who respects, encourages,
and helps one another. This cast has made this experience so much fun with
their dedication and hard work. They have put their heart and souls into their
characters by building their personality, perfecting their musical numbers,
and working together as a team.
Thank you so much for coming out and supporting a theater that has been so
close to my heart for many years. Without YOU as an audience, we wouldn’t
be able to do what we love to do - entertain you! Sit back, and enjoy the
wonder and beauty that is live theater.
- Leah

54. As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary (Although that will technically be at the end of our season), I can’t help
but to look back on the years and think of where TAC came from. We had simple beginnings, a borrowed
performance space, $2 tickets, lighting that literally had to be plugged in one at a time to change scenes. But
that’s the magic of TAC, we don’t always have all the glitz and glamour that others may have, but we’ve
learned to make it all work in our own way. That’s really the fun of being an underdog, we have the ability to
innovate, and think outside the theatre “box”. We’ve come up with ideas that set us apart (The Box, Star TAC
Players, The Youth Board, the TACy’s, Digital Playbill, etc..) while staying true to our roots (being accessible to
anyone with any skill level).
The core mission of TAC is to give anyone a chance at performing live theater, we’re a beginner theater with
flair. Not everyone knows this but at a minimum, 30% of every cast at TAC is new to our stage! That’s HUGE!!
While some may see that as a risk we see it as a calling..everyone deserves their day in the spotlight.
Along the way we’ve learned that no matter how difficult the odds, we are still standing…that’s in no small part
to the absolutely awesome families that have come to TAC. We are truly a theater built by families for families.
We couldn’t do what we do without your support. So while we didn’t come up with a season name this year, I
guess what is most important is that we pay homage to those that have made this theater a success for the
past 20 years…you. But I do like the sound of the “Season of You.”
- Michael Dach
A note from the President of the Board,
