2. Brief Overview
• The genre of our film is a psychological thriller.
• It is about a creepy stalker who harms the girl who
he loves as she is vulnerable and he doesn't want
to let go of her.
• Other similar movies include 'Split'. Most of our
inspiration was gained from this movie as we built
our character from the main character.
• This led to my group and I thinking that it would
be a good idea if we had a antagonist who was a
creepy stalker and knew about the girl he likes
whereabouts, which is similar to the film 'The
Gift'.
3. Key Characters
• In our story we have two main characters. The protagonist and the antagonist.
The Antagonist is a key character because the story line revolves around him. He is the reason for the
harm and every aspect of the storyline. He is psychologically hurt and distressed about the fact that
he was rejected by his one and only love. His love turns creepy and leads him to physically harming
the protagonist, to force her to not let him go. The antagonist is socially awkward, he does not know
much about social norms. He was often alone in the foster home.
The Protagonist is the innocent individual in our story who has a creepy stalker revolving around her.
She is a young university student who has overcome her struggles of the past of being an orphan and
growing up in a Foster home. She is determined to make a career for herself in the medical industry.
She is being stopped by the antagonist as he will not leave her alone.
4. Promotional Campaign
• Branding: We will establish our brand through using common font designs,
repeated images and words including 'love', 'hate' and 'danger'.
• USP/Key Aspects: Throughout our promotional campaign we want to include
the rose as it is central to the narrative and makes our film stand out from
others.
• Genre: To help establish the genre we are going to include conventional
features including a dark background, bold red font and a key central
image.
• Narrative Themes: Some themes that we want to establish are love,
isolation, desire, danger and jealousy.
• Character Representation: Through this promotional campaign we will
represent the female as a victim through shocked, scared facial expressions
with high key lighting and the male as the villain through elements like low
key lighting using shadows to highlight threatening facial expressions.
5. Poster Ideas
• From researching other poster from thrillers, we noticed they used one specific central image.
• We decided on using a red rose as our main
image on our poser. This will symbolize our
main themes, love, desire and danger.
• However, the rose will be dying to represent
the broken past of the main male character.
• We will use low key lighting for the image
and put it against a black background to
enhance the genre.
Tag Line Ideas:
'There's a fine line between love and hate'
'Your past is never forgotten'
'Some gifts aren't always wanted'
• The title will be in red, and a
handwriting font and the bottom
of the poster, with the tag line in
a white font at the top.

7. Target Audience
• The themes to our film definitely are relative to younger people, both male and female, Love,
Desire and growing up with a broken childhood.
• However, we found it difficult to find a specific age group to target as even though the characters
are relatable to a younger audience, because of the mature themes and difficult plot twists usually
associated with phycological thrillers, it may be also aimed to older audiences.
• The target audience will also be interested in modern life and social media as thrillers tend to be
base on real life events.
