1. Reflection On Ethics And Ethics
"Great individuals have great ethics and great values." Ethics and morality can be used
interchangeably as they sound as if they mean the same although there is a wide distinction between
them. "Strictly speaking, morality is used to refer to what we would call moral standards and moral
conduct while ethics is used to refer to the formal study of those standards and conduct. For this
reason, the study of ethics is also often called moral philosophy." (Gordana D 2007)
Morality comes first which constitutes of our beliefs and practices on what is right and wrong
while ethics comes next which is a reflection on the moral principles by our conscience. Morality is
influenced by law, religion, ethical relativism and professional codes.

When we have performances the amount of time we get to make a routine and practice is pretty
less, so not everyone gets to be a part of the team. Kicking someone out is not as easy as it sounds.
As rebellious as youngsters are, such fights could get out of hand. After studying about the
normative theories I realised that while making decisions about who should be removed, which
show to perform in etc. the main thing that I think of is what is going to benefit more number of
people the most. If I chose to remove a particular person, it brought them grief and guilt on my
behalf in the short term but in the long term, the level of performance rose leaving the crew,
judges and the audience happy. Also, sometimes we had to choose on which show to perform and
which not to. In this case we would select the show which gave us more exposure because it offers
us greater benefit opposed to a show at a smaller level. Thus, in this way the theory of utilitarianism
helped me make decisions when confused about what is ethical and what is

From my first days at The College of Wooster, I can tell that I will be aptly prepared to have a
successful future both during college and beyond. I'll immediately be challenged and engaged by
the First Year Seminar which will provide me with opportunities to make friends, engage in a topic
of interest, and further develop my writing skills. In addition, this seminar will prepare me for college
success. Writing has always been something of interest to me, so the writing intensive First Year
Seminar aligns with my personal passions. The College of Wooster also has a writing club that I
would be interested in joining. A writing club would give me weekly chances to meet with fellow

3. Reflective Essay: The Progress Of My Writing
The progress of my writing has consisted of overcoming struggles as well as enhancing my strengths.
Some in which will include style, organization, evidence, focused topic, etc. Undoubtedly, there are
numerous elements of writing to establish a clear statement regarding the topic discussed. Elements
that I have been focused on and implemented are the introductions that describe an overview of the
topic along.
Furthermore, some components that I consider while I'm beginning to write an essay or report is to
always look for evidence that the author presents throughout his argument. It's important to point
out their evidence to either support or a rebuttal and thoughts of your own. Overall, I focus on
creating a quick and simple introduction towards the text I am referring to and assemble a thesis as
well as a cliffhanger to keep the audience engaged. Likewise, I also include is transitions to form
my claims and ideas be associated with each other.
In addition, the organization is also something that I have improved on to have a concrete order to
cite a quote, the perspective of the author's claim, and show evidence or support. When using I need
to keep a reminder, that it's best if transitions are used for topic sentences and wrapping up the
evidence given previously to close out the last paragraph sentence. In...show more content...
For instance, sentence structure, using the word "I" in formal writing, and punctuation mistakes.
Ultimately, I lack of sentence structure because I have an idea of what is needed to talk about, but I
can't properly put it in a clear way for it to relate back to the text. Therefore, I don't put much
attention to the punctuation since I'm struggling to generate a clear argument. A common mistake I
tend to do is trying to implement that it's my own point of view or perspective, going off of the
quote. To which results in adding the word "I" throughout the essay without

Reflective essay: Dignity and respect10053603 Introduction The Purpose of this essay is to reflect
upon an experience which relates to the chosen topic of dignity and respect, this was highlighted in
my self–assessment (please see appendix) Acknowledging a persons' dignity can contribute to their
sense of good health, well–being and independence. Dignity is an essential element of high quality
care and involves aspects such as respect, privacy, autonomy and self–worth (The Welsh Assembly,

Evaluation A good point that arose from the situation was that Mrs Clarke did not injure herself
and that her severe reduced mobility was now recognised and respected due to this incident. Mrs
Clarke seemed to recover quickly from the incident. Although she was initially distressed this was
short lived. There were several bad points that should be acknowledged. Firstly, I think it would
have been beneficial if a second opinion from a qualified member of staff was sought, this
possibly would have prevented the situation from occurring. Secondly, Mrs Clarkes' wishes were
not respected, she was in a very vulnerable position and this I felt contributed to her being
persuaded to mobilise against her will and better judgement. Mrs Clarke also ended up in a very
awkward and exposed position on the floor and the way in which she was manually handled meant
her dignity had been considerably compromised. Finally, Mrs Clarke was manually lifted back onto
the bed which again potentially put her and the staff involved at further risk of injury. In addition to
this, to my knowledge the incident was not reported. Analysis Although it had been mentioned in
handover that Mrs Clarke was confused both Catherine and I were unaware of the reason for this.
There are many causes for confusion in older people including, certain medications, environmental
change, illnesses and diseases. Confusion

5. Reflective Essay: Lessons Learned
This is assignment was one of the first writing assignments I have written since graduating high
school in 2005. While writing this essay I learned several things about myself and become
extremely excited when I learned I had earned 8 out of 10 points after submitting this assignment.
This first part of writing this essay was to pick a topic to write about. I decided to choose acne for
the simple reason when I was growing up I had acne but finally grew out of it. After I decide on
the topic I had to gather the information for the essay itself which was not that easy. I had to gather
the information from different websites and was also able to find celebrates that revealed their
stories on the Proactiv website. Once I gathered the information required for the assignment I
began writing which was difficult at first but once I was able to get started it seemed to become
easier. The only thing I would change about my paper if given the chance would be to organize
the paper a little bit better. I would also try to apply different words that are not used in everyday
writing, this might have helped me with my grade however using larger words could also hurt my
paper if I did not use them correctly....show more content...
I noticed my work cited page was not on its own page after I had already submitted the

during this assignment I feel that I will be able to correctly write a successful essay assignment

6. Reflective Essay Reflection
Coming into college I had only taken one advanced placement course in high school that had
somewhat prepared me for the writing we would be working on in this class. I took AP Language
in eleventh grade and I believe it helped me create solid argumentative essays at that time, however,
I do not believe that course actually taught me how to properly write an essay. Coming into this
class I thought this course would be overwhelming and I would not be able to keep up with the
workload along with the standards of these essays. Yet, this class actually helped me learn how to
write an essay for example, what belongs in the introduction as well as the conclusion. My view
towards this class has not changed much since first entering college, however, I did learn this
course was a lot more beneficial than I originally thought it would be. In the beginning of the
semester, it was clear this course would teach me step by step on how to write an essay. I've
learned the importance of putting a "they say" along with an "I say" in the introductory paragraph
as it makes the essay easier to follow through. For example, in my first essay, I was not clear with
the position I was arguing against I was instead just arguing my side. However, once I rewrote the
essay for the second time and re–read the first one, it was obvious that it is easier for the reader to
follow what they are reading when there is both a "they" and "I say" in the very beginning of the
essay instead of only one. This also

7. Reflective Essay On English 101
Proficient writing is an essential skill in all aspects of academic and professional achievement.
English 101, Introduction to Composition and Rhetoric, provided the framework to good writing,
teaching me composition and rhetoric fundamentals, polishing up my grammar and style, and
expressing a clear message. English 102, Composition, Rhetoric, and Research, continued to build
on the skills I learned in English 101, focusing on the subject matter research process and
employing various rhetorical and literary devices to better express a clear message to the reader.
The course also improved my critical thinking capacity, allowing me to culturally evaluate my
target audience, present logically flowing arguments using appropriate language and structure, and
critically reviewing my writing projects for content and expression. Every writer inherently knows
there's always room to improve and I hold fast to this mindset in all academic, professional, and
personal writing projects. English 102 has both challenged and inspired me to grow into a much
better writer than before I began the class, providing the necessary skills to be not just a good
writer, but a great writer.
Most of my English 102 writing projects are rhetorical arguments, intended to persuade the reader in
one direction or another. Reflecting on the many skills I honed in English 102, my predetermined
use of rhetorical strategies (ethos, logos, pathos), developing a concise thesis statement, and clearly

8. Reflection Paper On Philosophy
This essay is reflection about my understanding from what I have learned during this class about
what philosophy is. Philosophy is a broad topic and can be hard to understand. What we learn is
class about philosophy defiantly makes me think and makes my brain turn all the time, but so far,
my understanding is that philosophy is the study of knowledge. It breaks down what everything is.
Examples used in class are chariness, deskness, and the main one sued in class "cupness".
According to Aristotle, philosophy is the study of fundamental nature of knowledge; it starts with
wonder. Philosophy makes us ask specific question like "Why" why did this happen and how did it
come to be. Philosophy had its origin in ancient Greece. Philosophy recognizes that everything is
somehow connected.
Philosophy and 'science' are the same project; to do philosophy is to do science and to do science
is to do philosophy. It is connected because philosophy/science was attempting to discover the
fundamental unity principle that lies at the basis of all reality and all experience. This is why we
refer to Garret Strong many times throughout our class discussions
The earliest philosopher/scientist are called Pre–Socratic philosophers. They came before the great
philosopher Socrates. Thales is to be the first. Thales is referred to as the father or founder of
philosophophy/science he lived in the sixth century BCE. Thales began to search for the unity
principle, which is the ground of all things.

9. COMM101 Reflective Paper– My top 10 takeaways from COMM101
Coming into UBC I had no idea of what to expect from the capstone course of Sauder. On the first
day, Jeff said that everything would connect in the end; I didn't realize how true that is until now. He
meant that every bit and piece in the course was literally interconnected with not just class concepts
but to the entire business world. Throughout the term, I not only learned about business
fundamentals, but life and people skills as well. Presenting ideas, pitching, teamwork and just
making an argument in general were simple yet essential skills that I picked up and refined.
Getting a feel for all the different disciplines Sauder has to offer was a given, but processing those
soft kills were my biggest takeaway yet. Honestly speaking, coming into Sauder, I was sure about
business as a career. However, I always had an interest in political science at the back of my mind.
Leaving this course, I now know that a career in both is something definitely achievable. With the
numerous guest speakers as well as the US election that happened simultaneously throughout the
term I learned that business and politics could be blended into a diverse field of opportunities; given
that I put in more than I expect and work hard.
TOOLKIT
Building my business toolkit throughout the term was fascinating. I was initially skeptical that the
toolkit we learned in class could be applicable to businesses of all sizes, from real corporations

course was that I am glad I took it. At first, I hate this class so much, because this class required so
much extra work to be done, but over time I realized that the extra work really pushes you over the

English 101 has been such an adventure. I know that sounds corny, but I just couldn't help myself.
When I decided to do a short–term English class, I thought it would be fun and challenging; My
expectations were correct. As I write this reflection, I look back on the topics and assignments that
existed in this short period of time from post 1 to the multi–modal project. I will list the challenges I
experienced which creating the creative project, what I learned from the beginning of class to the
end, and what I need to work on in the future. This English adventure started on post 1 and 2 and
ended at the multi–modal project. When I first did post 1 and 2 ,I was excited because we were

that it was challenging to respond properly to posts created by other classmates. My initial

Nowadays, teamwork is an incredibly important part of an organization. As defined in "Fundamental
of management", work teams are "groups whose members work intensely on specific, common goals
using there positive synergy, individual and mutual accountability, and complementary skills"
(Robbins, DeCenzo and Coulter, 2015, p.311). To simply understand, every time when we share a
specific job with other people, we participate in a work team. For myself, working in a team bring
about many interesting experiences of the way we interact with other members and deal with work
to achieve the last target. Therefore, the chance to cooperate with three other students in my class
during the group presentation assignment in last fortnight has left me numerous significant lessons.

However, for each time, I always had a new feeling, a new experience because of different
colleagues, different styles of work and, especially, different roles of mine in my team. For this

Ngoc, a boy with the same age as me, Thao, a girl who was one–year older than me, and Quang, the
oldest one in my group who was four–year older than me. This was the first time I had been a leader
of the team where I was the youngest person, which really put me under pressure and was one of
my most challenges of connecting team members together. It required me to always move forward
and improve my personal qualities more as a leader which were mentioned in Robbins text book:
drive, desire to lead, honesty and integrity, self–confidence, intelligence, job –relevant knowledge
and extraversion (P.Robbins, 2015, p.361). Sometimes, I felt myself so incompetent when I got

To be honest, I felt like my resume was poorly constructed because it was the first time that I

from my peers. They provided me with a lot of recommendations, most of which I agreed with.
One of my peers recommended that I need to look up some of the resume templates online in
order to find one that looks more professional. I had provided my information on a sheet of paper,
but it didn't really look like a professional resume. So I decided to search on Google for resume
templates, and found a great one that I can use. The template proved to be very great in that it

Facing My Challenges
As I came to English 45, I thought it was going to be a tough class, because it's an accelerated class.
An accelerated class tends to be a fast–past class that covers 2 classes in one. When I got to English
45 I assumed that it wouldn't be tough, although the results were opposites, English 45 gave me
many challenged to face throughout the whole semester. Throughout this semester English 45 has
thought me many different techniques to improve my English and writing. Ever since the first day, I
felt confident about everything, although my confidence wasn't always right because I learned that
the grading and essay structure is different. When I got back the first essay that we did, I saw the
challenges that I would be facing throughout the semester, because of each teacher/professor grades
differently.
Ater learning what a professor expects on a paper, still left me with doubts about writing a perfect
paper, because writing an essay can be written is many different ways. One challenged that occurred
to me throughout the semester, was not being able to write at least a four–page essay. As well as not
knowing the structure, or how a paper is formatted, was also a challenge to me because that was
one of the main things a professor looks at in college. The main challenge that I faced throughout the
whole semester was grammar and checking is the whole essay is well written. Grammar was one of

In Conclusion, poets William Wordsworth, Percy Shelley and William Blake show how poetry
displays the importance of human ability to convey emotions and say what they feel. Therefore the
quote by poet Michelle Williams is true. In poets William Wordsworth "Preface" to Lyrical ballads,
he describes poetic process as follow:
"Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feeling: it takes its origin from emotion recollected

Thus through poetry the opportunity to recreate and relive the previously experienced emotion is

17. Reflective Essay On The Tree Of Life
Life, the most complex and difficult concept to qualify, has been asserted as being meaningless.
Millions of different life forms roam the Earth, and struggle to decipher any significance is
troublesome. The expansiveness of the Universe makes it difficult to extract what is meaningful
and what is not. This subject is one of the central issues of The Tree of Life, a modern film directed
by Terrence Malick. The true plot of the film is difficult to decipher, and there in lies the over
arching theme. The confusion and vastness that exists in the movie is confusing yet thought
provoking. The plot follows the lives a family of five in Texas, but is interjected with breathtaking
images of the Universe and its immensity. Shots of meteors hitting the earth, waves crashing in the
ocean, and dinosaurs roaming the pre–historic landscape overwhelm the viewers' visual senses. The
breathtaking cinematography exhibits top–notch imagry, but may leave the viewer dazed. The
feelings that the amazing images in The Tree of Life evoke are noteworthy, yet I believe they have
been miscaterogrized. Many of my classmates have argued in class that The Tree of Life conveys
the idea that life is extremely finite and insignificance. In stark opposition to this idea, I believe that
The Tree of Life has been misinterpreted. What qualifies a life as being meaningless? My classmates
have asserted that having no connections leads to nothingness. While I understand the initial
reaction to make this association, upon careful reflection I would have to disagree. The ability to
relate to those like you and feel sympathy and empathy are imperative to the human experience. An
interesting derivation of meaning can be analyzes in the book Barthes Lucida. In an insightful
commentary of photography, Roland Barthes reflects on meaning and impact in a visual context. He
notes two key ideas within photography, studium and punctum. Lucia explains that studium is the
aspect of something that initially grabs the viewers' attention. This can be a color, a movement, a
pose (or the lack of a color, a movement, a pose...). The studium snags the viewers attention, makes
them look, but it is fleeting. Punctum, as Barthes asserts, is the part of

Writing overall has never been my strong suit during my years of education, but this year I feel
like I grew as a writer and improved. English has never been one of my easier classes, but I still
put in the same amount of work that I do for my other classes. I know that compared to most
students, I have a really strong work ethic. With essays, I never waited until the last moment to write
the whole thing. For every essay, I planned my time wisely and split up for myself parts of the
essay and when I should have them done by. Additionally, this year I tried much more to revise my
essay and reread over it to improve it. Overall, my effort for writing essays was very good, but some
of my essays could have been focused more and not drift away from the prompt. The rhetorical
analysis was definitely the essay that I am most proud of. Rhetorical analysis were basically the
only essays that I did last year in AP Lang, but I got a C on almost everyone. Although this essay
was my strongest, I think I could have tried more to fix grammatical errors and sentence structure.
In my revision, I fixed a body paragraph and in that body paragraph I got rid of grammatical
errors, passive voice, and changed my sentence structure. For this essay, I believe AP Lang gave
me an advantage at analyzing articles, but I still had to put in a lot of hard work. For these
articles, I printed out the ones I knew I was going to use in my paper so I could annotate them
better and have an easier access to

20. Reflection On My English 101 Experience
Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your
mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and done. However, you rarely get successful. The
truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in
the middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can
explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my essay, and identify my weaknesses.
Throughout English 101, I learned that the following the writing process was imperative. Before
taking this class, I use to always skip the pre–writing step considering that it is just an easy and
unnecessary step. Consequently, I struggled to figure how to start writing, and most importantly I
struggled to figure out the main point while writing the draft. And then I finish the first draft close to
the deadline that I do not have time to read it not to mention revising. It was after I started this class
that learned that pre–writing is vital, and requires time and attention as it holds the base of the
whole writing. My professor used different analogies such as blueprint for building and map for
navigation to explain the importance. It really speeded up my writing after I started to utilize it. I
have learned outlining before, but part of the pre–writing that I was fortunate enough to learning in
English 101 is the writing triangle. Even before outlining, the topic, purpose, and audience of the
