2. HISTORY
The photovoltaic effect was recognized first in 1839 by the French
physicist Edmond Becquerel. Nevertheless, it was not before 1883 the
first photovoltaic cell was constructed, for Carlos Fritts, The union is
a region of transition between two crown of semiconductors the
majority of the semiconductors has connections they write p-n In
1888, the Russian physicist Aleksandr Stoletov constructed the first
photoelectric cell based on the photoelectric effect discovered by
Heinrich Hertz in 1887. The bell produced the first photovoltaic
modern cell in 1954 in the laboratories the Bell. This solar cell was
developed by Darii.
3. As solar panels contribute to life ?
The spatial Solar power (in English Solar Space-based
power, SSP), term narrowly related to satellite of solar
power (in English Solar Power Satellite), is the conversion
of solar power acquired in the space in any other type of
energy which can be used in space or it is also possible
to transmit to the Earth. From the 20th century they
have been using photovoltaic panels in the space on
board of spatial satellites to produce the electricity
necessary for it functioning from the solar light.
4. Why do you think it´s useful?
Depending on construction, photovoltaic modules can produce
electricity from a range of frequencies of light, but they can’t usually
cover the entire solar range (specifically, ultraviolet, infrared and low
or diffused light). Hence much of the incident sun light energy is
wasted by solar modules, and they can give far higher efficiencies if
illuminated with monochromatic light. Therefore, another design
concept is to split the light into different wavelength ranges and
direct the beams onto different cells tuned to those ranges This has
been projected to be capable of raising efficiency by 50%.
