Jonas, a 9-year-old boy considered a "loser" by his popular older sister Mary, dreams of finding gold after falling into the river. He returns to the river and discovers gold at the bottom, just as in his dreams. Jonas alerts the village chief, who sends soldiers to retrieve the gold. The village then regards Jonas as a hero for finding the treasure.

1. THE GIFT OF THE NILE

2. Once upon a time there was a young boy and his older sister. There names were Jonas and
Mary. Mary is a 14 year old, and Jonas is 9.

3. Mary is the most popular girl in the village.

4. Loser!
But what Jonas was what Mary called a loser.

5. One day Mary had a bunch of her friends over. So Jonas decided to go for a little walk.

6. Jonas decided to go by the river to check out the scenery.

7. When he was walking down the bank he tripped on a tree root that was sticking out of the
ground, and he tumbled down into the water.

8. He struggled to climb out.

9. But ever since he fell in the water he was having dreams. The dreams were about a bunch
of gold in the bottom of the lake.

10. So one day he decided to go back to the lake.

11. There it was, the gold at the bottom of the lake. Jonas ran as fast as he could back to the
village.

12. Jonas around for awhile looking for the chief. Once he found the chief he told him and he
sent all of his soldiers to receive the gold. Jonas then became the villages hero!
