• Feedback on your comments re Pecha Kucha
• Wonderful – in general it was evidenced in the feedback that you have
given us that the presentations today (05 11 12) has been really useful in
supporting your practice.
• In terms of the session helping and improving your communication skills it
was felt that it has been really helpful in focusing your thinking and we
would agree that there were high levels of reflective thinking exhibited in
the presentations
32. • You all liked the immediate feedback system (post-its) you all received
feedback and felt that it was very helpful in clarifying your work.
• There are just a couple of issues – people wanting the session later (at the
end of the unit). We felt that having the session in the middle gives you
time to rectify any problems and focus your work rather than waiting till
the end when any feedback would be less helpful – ie you would be
unable to react to it.
• On the whole you agreed that the staff made the subject interesting and
that we have explained the process, although in your minds there is some
space for improvement (not all of you “strongly agreed”) – it would be
helpful if you could in some way let us know how we could improve this –
possibly some concrete examples through the reps.
33. • There were issues of nervousness, the only way to get over them is to
practice – we are aware that it’s not easy, although we are a supportive
crowd. It does get better and of course you are becoming the expert in
the subject because you and your work are the subject. Although you may
have been nervous you have possibly used this to your advantage. A little
nervousness is good for you and ensures that you are focusing on what
you have to do.
• Staff did not notice any negative effect from nervousness in your
presentations.
34. • Something to consider from the staff side is the lack of support some of
you showed in not attending the presentations of others. We believe that
you may have missed some of the points of the exercise
• 1 - To support your fellow students, to become part of a team who work
together
• 2 - That you can see the work of others and judge yourself
• 3 – That you might be interested in the opportunity to develop your own
work by looking at the work of others and not producing work in isolation.
• So thank you again for your support – if there are any issues or questions
do not fail to get in touch with a member of staff.

36. NSS
• NSS results from last year show that we
scored poorly.
• Interestingly the NSS results reflect on us all.
38. • Please use the paper to write me a letter –
anonymous if you wish – about anything that's
on your mind – but maybe a focus could be
ways in which we could improve how the staff
could make the subject interesting or how we
could be more enthusiastic about the subject.
• See you in the next session – thank you
