Located next door to Rockingham Wild Encounters base overlooking the
shores of beautiful Shoalwater Bay is Pengo’s Cafe.
It’s the ideal place for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, lunch, before or after
your visit to Penguin Island. Enjoy a meal under the shade sails of our
alfresco area or have a picnic on the grass next to the children’s playground.
We even have a full range of freshly made rolls, wraps, salads as well as
drinks and snacks to take away for a picnic on Penguin Island.
4. • For the Ferry it cost $12 for an adult.
Concessions are $12.

Ferries to the island depart hourly from
9am to 3pm. Return ferries to the
mainland depart hourly from 10am to
4pm.
6. Penguin Island is open daily from mid September through
to the Foundation Day long weekend in June. It is closed
over the winter months to ensure the penguins are not
disturbed during their nesting time.
