The document describes workshops that will take place from March 8-13, 2015 in Hranice, Czech Republic. The Tuesday workshop focuses on the artist M.C. Escher and spatial relationships through interpreting and creating artwork inspired by his use of symmetry. 5. WORKSHOP ON THURSDAY 12 MARCH 2015 –
ANIMATION
Purposes: awareness of spatial relationships
the relationship between art direction and the direction of
mathematics and engineering
Theme: Maurits Cornelius Escher, animal in animation
A form of work: a team work

paper, paints, crayons, tape for fixedly attaching the
background, camera, a tripod, PC with Windows Live

1. Motivation: demonstrations of short animations

3.Demonstration of how to work: arrangement of
geometric shapes in the form of animals - inspiration

8. WORKSHOP ON FRIDAY 13 MARCH 2015 –
ERASMUS PLUS RACE
There are 6 teams of these countries – Czech Republic,
Finland, France, Greece, Poland and Turkey
Children visit 6 sites and on every site performs tasks related to
arts and maths
Children run on time
Which team wins, gets the cup filled with sweets

1. - Arrange geometric shapes - block composition,
pyramid, cube
- fold flakes and then paint the flakes
2. - The Tangram - from various geometric shapes fold the
pattern
3. - Sudoku - with illustrations by Josef Lada
