A wideband published slot antenna appropriate for wireless code division multiple access (WCDMA) and sustaining the international interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) applications is planned here. The antenna is fractal line fed and its construction is based on fractal geometry where the resonance frequency of antenna is dropped by applying iteration methods. Fractal antennas are the most suited for aerospace and UWB applications because of their low profile, light weight and low power handling capacity. They can be designed in a variety of shapes in order to obtain enhanced gain and bandwidth, dual band and circular polarization to even ultra-wideband operation. For the simulation process ANSOFT HFSS (high frequency structure simulator) has been used. The effect of antenna dimensions and substrate parameters on the performance of antenna have been discussed. The antenna has been designed using the Arlon substrate with relative permittivity of 1.3 and a substrate of Sierpinski Carpet shaped placed on it. Feed used is the fractal line feed. The designed antenna is a low profile, small size and multiband antenna since it can be operated at different frequencies within the frequency range of 4.3GHz to 11GHz. It includes the frequencies used for wireless WCDMA application and used to receive and transmit a high-frequency signal.

In the Field of low profile antennamicro strip patch antennas have attracted many researchers due to small sizeand low cost of fabrication. One of trending member of new designs is Fractalantenna. Fractal shapes are recursive/repetitive self-similar geometries, dueto this self-similarity they can provide high gain, multiband, widebandsolutions and design miniature antenna. Fractal shapes are widely used incomputing, analysis and design; recent trends suggest positive outcomes ofusing fractal shapes in electromagnetics and communication system. In thispaper Jerusalem cube fractal shape is introduced in probe fed conventionalpatch antenna for L1 band. A dual band antenna resonating at 1.41 GHz (L) and3.37 (S) GHz, band is constructed using said fractal shape.

Abstract An innovative concept is utilized to develop the fractal antenna by coalesce the Koch prefractal and meander line. This fractal antenna is proposed for multistandard wireless applications. The shape and dimensions of the proposed antenna are chosen to obtain the multiband behaviour as well as miniaturized structure. Initially two different fractal concepts have been chosen through previous research and merged them to obtain more than two resonant frequencies. The proposed design characterizes four bands at resonant frequencies 2.5 GHz, 6.4 GHz, 7.2 GHz and 8.15 GHz with a return loss of -12.05 dB, -16.68 dB, -14.87 dB and -26.51 dB respectively. This design also represents VSWR between the required range of 1 to 2 for the presented resonant frequencies with an appropriate value of gain in dB. The antenna is analysed with Ansoft HFSS-13.0 electromagnetic field solver. Keywords: Microstrip antennas, fractal antennas, miniaturized, multistandard, wireless applications

In order to effectively manage and retrieve the information comprised in vast amount of text documents, powerful text mining tools and techniques are essential. In this paper we evaluate and compare two state-of-the-art data mining tools for clustering high-dimensional text data, Cluto and Gmeans. Several experiments were conducted on three benchmark datasets, and results are analysed in terms of clustering quality, memory and CPU time consumption. We empirically show that Gmeans offers high scalability by sacrificing clustering quality while Cluto presents better clustering quality at the expense of memory and CPU time.

In the current GCSE architecture in TR 23.768, it requires to routine all group-cast media transports to the GCSE server in EPC and registers all GCSE members to the GCSE server. Therefore, RP-140185[3] mentions that the required end-to-end delay for media transport may exceed the requirement of 150 ms, and the required time for joining an ongoing group communication may in worse case exceed the requirement of 300 ms. However, by using long-range cell, those issues can be mitigated by two reasons. 1) Comparing with the current GCSE architecture, long-range cell can shorten the required end-to-end delay by local routed the group-cast media transports to the UEs without go back to the GCSE server in order to meet the maximum latency requirement, 150ms. In TR 23703, it mentions that we have to handle out of network coverage scenarios for proximity direct communication in rural area. Therefore, long-range cell is proposed to reduce network converge holes, and thus the phenomenon can be significantly mitigated especially in the rural area. Although, for receivers located in the fringe areas outside the coverage contour can only receive outbound communication, those UEs can still obtain synchronization signal, system information block, and semi-persistent resource management information for establishing direct communication.

This letter presents the design, simulation, and measurement of a novel multiband fractal circular antenna for wireless applications. In the antenna design, we used a circular antenna where we took a ring. Then, in the first iteration, we added a new ring divided into two of the same size. For the second iteration, we added a ring of the same size after dividing it into two halves. In the third iteration, we added the third ring of the same size after dividing it into four. Due to the resonator defection, we were able to reduce the size of the starting antenna from 60×70×2 mm3 to 50×50×1.6 mm3 , to get the frequency of 2.48 GHz, and we generated new bandwidths with a high gain that reaches 5.02 dB. The proposed antenna radiation characteristics, such as the impedance matching, the gain, the radiation pattern, and the surface current distribution are presented and discussed. We find that the simulated and measured results are in acceptable agreement and affirm the good performance of the proposed antenna. The results obtained affirm that the proposed fractal antenna is a better candidate for integration into wireless communication circuits.

This paper proposes a method for designing a new ultra wide band (UWB) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with two and four elements. First we presented an ultra-wide band antenna we studied these performances. Then, we studied the application of metamaterials to the design of MIMO antennas for miniaturization and the performance of antennas, in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the MIMO system with a much reduced separation distance between the radiating elements (λ/12), where the coupling can be very weak. The application of these circular double ring SRRs materials on the front plan of the antenna has contributed to the increasing of the antenna performance is studied in terms of S-Parameters, efficiency, diversity gain (DG), radiation properties and envelop correlation coefficient (ECC). It offers advantages such as the reduction of weight and congestion that is beneficial for their integration into satellite communications systems.

The hasty growth of wireless technologies has drawn new demands for integrated components including antennas and antenna on chip is a new mantra in the area of antenna research. Various techniques have been suggested by researchers for the miniaturization of microstrip patch antennas with multiband characteristics. Numerous antennas for multiband operation have been studied and designed for communication and radar systems. One of the solutions for the multiband characteristics is the fractal antenna. The Fractal antennas are based on the concept of fractal geometries. They can be designed in a variety of shapes in order to obtain enhanced gain and bandwidth, dual band and circular polarization to even ultra-wideband operation. In this paper, the fractal antenna has been designed using the Arlon substrate with relative permittivity of 1.3 and a substrate of Sierpinski gasket shaped placed on it. Feed used is the line feed. The designed antenna is a low profile, small size and multiband antenna since it can be operated at different frequencies within the frequency range of (1.75 – 2.65) and (5.7 – 7.65) GHz. It includes the frequencies used for wireless WLAN application and used to receive and transmit a high-frequency signal.

Different fractal structures have been widely used in many antennas designs for various applications. A fractal antenna is used for miniaturization and multiband operation. This paper presents a design of a dual-band fractal antenna fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line. The proposed antenna is designed and fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a volume of 70x60x1.6mm3, resonates at 2.42-2.62GHz and 3.40-3.65GHz with a return loss less than -10dB. The design and simulation process is carried out by using CST-MW studio electromagnetic solver. Simulation results show that the resulting antenna exhibits an interesting dual frequency resonant behavior making it suitable for dual band communication systems including the ISM and WiMAX applications. Concerning the fabrication and measurement of the final prototype of this antenna, a good agreement is found between simulation and measurement results for both frequency bands.

In this paper, a slotted is introduced at each of the radiating elements on the 1 st iteration log periodic fractal Koch antenna (LPFKA). The antenna is designed to testify the appropriate performance at UHF Digital television which operates from 4.0 GHz to 1.0 GHz. The dimension of the conventional 0 th iteration LPKFA is successfully reduced by 17% with the implementation of slotted. The results show a good agreement with a stable radiation pattern across the operating bandwidth, stable gain more than 5 dBi and reflection coefficient of below -10 dB over the desired frequency range.

Syngulon’s technology expands the capacity for selection of microorganisms. The ability to select individual microbes with a behavior of interest is essential, whether for simple cloning at the bench, or for industry-scale production. Synthetic biology uses the concept of “bioengineering” to improve or modify existing genetic systems to create microbes with desired behaviors, and Syngulon uses this approach to develop its selection technologies. This selection technology is based on bacteriocins, ribosomally-produced peptides naturally made by most bacteria to kill competitive microbial species. These bacteriocins can have a limited or wide target range against other microbial species. This technology offers advantageous over antibiotic selection for several reasons: it avoids the use of antibiotics in the first place, helping to reduce the spread of antibiotic resistant microbes. The technology also increases product yield; as bacteriocins are generally smaller peptides, they do not impose a heavy metabolic burden on the producing cell. They can have a wide target specificity, helping to avoid genetic drift. Finally, our system is 100% plasmid-based (e.g. without chromosomal mutations), making it applicable for use in any E. coli strains.

Join me in this session where I'll share our journey of building a fully serverless application that flawlessly managed check-ins for an event with a staggering 80 thousand registrations. We'll dive into three key strategies that made this possible. Firstly, by harnessing DynamoDB global tables, we ensured global service availability and data replication across regions, boosting performance and disaster recovery. Next, we'll explore how we seamlessly integrated real-time updates into the app using Appsync subscriptions, making the experience dynamic and engaging for users. Finally, I'll discuss how provisioned concurrency not only improved performance but also kept costs in check, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of serverless architectures. Through these strategies and the inherent scalability of serverless technology, our application effortlessly handled massive user loads without manual intervention. This session is a real world example to the power and efficiency of modern cloud-based solutions in enabling seamless scalability and robust performance with Serverless

Are you wondering why everyone is talking about the Flutterwave scandal? You’re not alone! It’s been in the news a lot. We’re going to tell you all about the Flutterwave Scandal in a way that’s easy to get. Keep reading, because we’re going to share the whole story with you. The company Flutterwave is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States. In 2016, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Olugbenga Agboola, and Adeleke Adekoya established Flutterwave. It offers a payment infrastructure to international merchants and payment service providers throughout Africa. The company operates in various African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, and others. They focus on digital payments, helping businesses accept and process payments on various channels like the web, mobile, ATM, and POS. Recently, they’ve been in the news due to allegations of misconduct within the company, which has affected their reputation and value. Flutterwave is an essential player in the African fintech landscape, aiming to drive growth for banks and businesses through digital payment solutions. The Flutterwave scandal involves allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour towards female employees by the company’s co-founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola. Reports have surfaced from both current and former employees about bullying, intimidation, and sexual harassment at work. The allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards female employees at Flutterwave, specifically involving the CEO Olugbenga Agboola, were brought to public attention in April 2022.This was when Clara Wanjiku Odero, an ex-employee and current CEO of Credrails, published a Medium post and a series of tweets on April 4, 2022, accusing Flutterwave and Agboola of bullying. These allegations were part of a broader range of misconduct claims that surfaced around the same time The reasons behind the scandal are rooted in accusations of unethical behavior within the company. The allegations suggest a workplace culture that allowed for misconduct and failed to protect employees from harassment and intimidation. Specifically, the Flutterwave scandal refers to the series of events where the CEO was accused of engaging in improper conduct with female colleagues. This led to a broader investigation into the company’s practices and raised serious concerns about the fintech’s corporate governance. The scandal had significant repercussions, including a drop in the company’s stock price and a loss of trust among customers and partners. The trust that customers and investors had in Flutterwave was greatly damaged. People started to doubt the company’s integrity and whether their money and personal information were safe. Market Impact The scandal shook the entire fintech market. Flutterwave’s competitors saw this as an opportunity and started to attract customers who were leaving Flutterwave.
