4. EeB EI- Background At the end of 2005 the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) developed its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA ) defining priorities, around three main topics: 1. Meeting client and user requirements 2. Becoming sustainable 3. Transforming of the construction sector In June 2007 , ECTP published an associated roadmap proposing an Implementation Action Plan . This roadmap showed a major priority on new technologies, concepts and materials for efficient and clean buildings , a theme which initiated the E2B concepts and a significant part of E2B EI. E2B EI initially stemmed from a group of ECTP members and is fully supported by the platform as an instrument to implement their roadmap .

11. EeB PPP: Implementation of calls The E2B PPP calls are going to be implemented following the rules of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for the period 2010-13.
The Association is a grouping of major stakeholders in the sector: industry, research institutes and universities Currently the Association objectives are: To seek and demonstrate industry engagement and collect information on national research priorities and initiatives To gather support and commitment from EC (namely DG Research, DG TREN and DG Infso) To define the research priorities for funding on E2B under current FP7 during the next 4 years The Association will represent the private part of the PPP Collect and contribute the financial resources for the operation of the association and the PPP Represent and coordinate industry and other stakeholders’ research interests within the PPP Stibel-heating and renewables
