Kristen,
I hope all is well on this beautiful summer day!
Let me get you ready to comply with the e-rate program: Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act, by the time school starts again.
As you know, the most important aspect of the new Order is that Internet safety policies must "…include monitoring the online activities of minors and must
provide for educating minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms
and cyberbullying awareness and response."
With Passport to the Internet, our engaging and effective Media Awareness program will demonstrate compliance by documenting your students' online activity
in our 5 step program to a secure Internet experience. It covers:
online safety;
authenticating online information;
recognizing online marketing ploys;
protecting privacy;
managing online relationships;
dealing with cyberbullying.
Five different activities will also cover social networking, detecting online advertising ploys, authentication skills, smart web surfing, safe use of instant
messaging including how to deal with strangers and cyberbullying, in modules developed for grades 4-5 and grades 6-8. Click here or paste this link to see our
Passport to the Internet video tour on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MediaAwareness#p/u/19/1UBPiYtDNXM
Passport to the Internet is powered by Media Awareness, a non profit organization and is sold at $250 per school, with a 20% discount for district wide
implementation. Please let me know if you would like to get codes to our demo to preview the program, schedule a call or webinar with me, or get an official
quote.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Marie
