 Bilwadi gutika is also called as vilwadi agada, vilwadi vati.
 Bilwadi agada is explained in sahasrayoga, kriyakaumudi,
vishajoshnika, astanga sangraha and astanga hruday.
 It is a herbal preparation.
 It is explained under sarpa visha pratished adhyaya.

• An experimental evaluation of effect of bilwadi agada in isoniazid and rifampicin combination
induced hepatotoxicity .
(bilwadi agada showed significant improvement in SGOT and SGPT and histopathological analysis
showed hepatocyte regeneration effect.)
• Evaluation of hepatoprotective activity of bilwadi agada against methotrexate induced
hepatotoxicity-an experimental study.

fungal strains.(Alcoholic extract of bilwadi agada shown better result in comparison with aqueous
extract).

antifungal activity (it exhibited moderate to mild anti-microbial activity against most of the
