2. bing
I found bing fascinating in that
it can find information relevant
to your search versus just using
keywords that are used a lot.
I have always preferred Google
to search, but now that I know
bing provides more information
and related matter, I may
switch.
The cover page has amazing
pictures with links for more
information about it.
3. Wolfram Alpha
This is just an amazing search
engine! It’s also kind of scary
that a computer than try to
understand our questions.
I liked how much information it
provided after performing a
search.
The homepage has the links to
browse a great variety of
information and topics.
4. Flickr
I like Flickr because I can
download a multitude of
pictures for free.
It is useful as a backup storage
for personal photos.
Tagging is helpful in finding
photos you don’t remember
where you put.
5. Twitter
It was very difficult to have any
least favorites, but I found
Twitter to be less useful for me
personally.
It was very time-consuming to
sift through the multitude of
tweets that were posted.
A lot of the information is
repetitive with other social-
networking sites.
6. blogspot
This was ranked among my
least favorites because I don’t
have the time or interest to
devote to blogging properly.
You have to search to find
someone you will like to follow
consistently.
There are some good writers of
blogs, but many blogs are
written by people who just want
to share pictures of their kids,
travels, or whatever. You have
to really want to follow a blog
writer.
7. RSS feeds
This was helpful to an extent,
but the volume of feeds was
overwhelming.
RSS feeds would be useful if
you just had a few articles or
writers that you prefer, but the
same information can be found
easily elsewhere.
A helpful technology, but
limited in common use.
