2. Simple People
Simple as a smile that’s raining tears
Simple as a brave man and all his fears
Simple as a fairytale fading black
I let no evil hold me back
The pencils talk not on their own
My soul to them into does flow
The nonsense lying down beneath
Now stand ups tall
Without retreat.
Simple as the dark ink spread across the page
Simple as the body bending round up on the stage
Simple as the spoken words from lover’s mouth of lies
Simple as the one who falls after all their tries
I am not a simple one nor are all of they
Lives can live so pure at heart
Till you get in the way
Crumbling all the simple dreams
Title staying through
Victims of thy evil schemes
Do we look simple to you?
3. Land Of Nursery Rhyme
Spoon walk with your girl
While Jill and Jack unfurl
From rolling down the mountain
Pass all the jumping cows and
Mister Schmidt strode out his door
Needless I even tell you more?
The king’s horses and all the kings’ men
Stood up to shout his name again
Now you may ask
Of where I be?
And questions to the kind black sheep
Three mice running to save their tails
The Infamous old do not prevail
But someone always tell their tale
Again, As where to I may be
I shalt not leave a mystery
A rainy place of cursed old time
The tall tale land of nursery rhyme.
4. Open Fields
Now don’t come back, she whispers soft
I won’t because I’ve had enough
Something sad, something bad, something tore me apart
Her face was mine, my heart her heart
The devil smiled down on me
He's dancing prancing
Skin like red leather
It shines in the flames
His claws stretch out
Resembling his treacherous smile
Slow, devious, steadying itself looking for a point of entry,
A point of weakness,
Somewhere to start, to plant a small glimmer of contemplation,
Just enough to turn contemplation into doubt, and to spread from there
The claws huge enough to grab me whole, grabbed a hold of me
And scrambling I slipped and fell
Then all was gone, her heart, her face
The devils deathly lair
One step is all I landed on
The path behind now disappeared
No path led down for up ahead
Everywhere, anywhere,
But where?
Now don’t come back, she whispered soft
I won’t because I’ve had enough
Nothing in stone, Nothing in place, No chains attached from another place
New and simple
A little same
But open fields with much to gain.
5. Partners in
Crime
Cracking jokes.
Jokes gone too far
Walking along
Near the passing cars
Last spring hearts fell
down from the sky
Crashing on pavement for
the sun to dry
Complications
Unnecessary
Spring heat comes flying
Show her to the world
Hold her waist
Let her twirl
Smile and love her
To the naked eye
Step off the stage
Applaud your sly.
Whispering
thoughts
Road street mean
The perfect pair
Never how they
seem.
