5. Storyboarding
To plan out the images,
dialogue, and sound in a
movie, filmmakers use a
process known as
“Storyboarding.”
Today, you will make a
storyboard for your video
segment of Project
COEXIST
6. To make your storyboard:
Plan what you want to film by:
Using very simple drawings/ images
Writing notes on what people on camera are saying and
doing
Deciding what order the images and information is
presented.
7. Read a comic or graphic novel?
They are AWESOME examples of storyboards…
8.
9. Your storyboard shouldn’t be a work of
art. In fact, your group should be able
to finish it by the end of this week…
Draw fast and loose!
10. If you usually draw stuff that looks
like this:
That’s totally OK!!!
11. The important thing is that you
plan out the order of the
information and the images you
want to go with them.
12. Think about how you want to
present the information:
Live filming
Something animated
from the web
Photos
Slideshows
Filmed Skit
Dialogue or a Voice-Over
narration
13. For your Storyboard:
Get a storyboard packet from
your teachers
Plan your film in sections.
Use one worksheet for each
section:
Geography Basics
Founder/ Major Thinkers
Major Symbols and
Explanations
Religious Texts and Laws
Basic Beliefs
History
Denominations
Current Status on Religious
Community
