P2 E- Production Schedule Kieren Carmichael
Launch Date The Launch Date of the Pilot episode will air is Friday 6th January 2017, with the final episode airing Friday 10th March 2017, in time for awards season, with the major television awards taking place from March to culminate in the BAFTA TV Awards in May.
Overview • Each episode will be filmed in 9 days. • With 10 episodes the full filming time should be around 3 months. • With pre-production and post-production included (as some CGI etc. will be needed) I am setting the full length of production to be 4 months. • Therefore, Pre-Production will start on 25th August 2016 with Post-Production ending 24th February 2017.
Pre-Production • Beginning on the 25th August 2016 with a prior developed story stemming from an original idea (I.E, I have came up with the idea for my TV Show in the earlier stages of P2. • Jed Mercurio and Gillian Anderson (Producers), Sally Wainwright (writer) and Nick Hurran (Director) prepare the synopsis of the Show, the step outline (breaking down scenes to analyze dramatic structure) and the treatment, identifying the story, the mood and the characters. This should lead up to the 8th February 2016 (1 Week) • During this time, a pitch is produced by the producers with assistance from the writer. This will be taken to all of the suggested cast and crew and they will be attached to the show’s production. With these attachments signed, financiers will be approached and the Show will receive the green light.

Extras • Where 10 extras are needed, these will be weekend scenes, with minimum staff working overtime in the media building and these will all appear to be doing office work and engaging in conversations. • Where 20 extras are needed, these will be weekday scenes where all workers are needed in the media building and these will all appear to be doing office work and engaging in conversations. • Where 100 extras are needed, these will be street scenes where the actors are filmed on their commute to work.
Locations • Scenes filmed at Liverpool film studios are night scenes, showing the apartments or the nightly activities of the characters. • Films in Deyes High School will be the office building and the idea behind the school set up is that a student set up there early in his career and built it into a media conglomerate but did not change the layout when he bought it.
Post- Production • Here, each episode will be assembled by the eidtors and the cgi will be added onto the green-screen scenes. Audio will also be edited with music tracks and songs and an original score created. This will be done in the time between the end of filming (27/11/16) and the air date (06/01/17).
Contingencies • I have proposed to hire a larger than necessary studio so that if there are any issues with the studio and it is necessary to be moved into a smaller one, the size difference will not hinder the show’s filming ability. • Only main characters are essential to the show. The positions of secondary characters are interchangeable and should any actors/actresses be ill, they will not affect the filming. Should any main actors be ill or unavailable, they can re-film their scenes in the contingency time I have allotted. • Should any of the TV or Radio shows in my Marketing plan be unavailable or unwilling to participate in interviews to promote my show, I will use the money I would have used on those for extra billboards and extra online advertising in order to ensure that my show is still aptly promoted.
Marketing • From December, small teaser adverts will start airing on ITV with posters being distributed in late December. In the first week of January, the cast will appear on talkshows ready for the release of the episode on 6th January. Throughout the series, the stars will be using their social media pages to continue to promote the show while dedicated social media pages will be set up to continue to promote.

  • 1. P2 E- Production Schedule Kieren Carmichael
  • 2. Launch Date The Launch Date of the Pilot episode will air is Friday 6th January 2017, with the final episode airing Friday 10th March 2017, in time for awards season, with the major television awards taking place from March to culminate in the BAFTA TV Awards in May.
  • 3. Overview • Each episode will be filmed in 9 days. • With 10 episodes the full filming time should be around 3 months. • With pre-production and post-production included (as some CGI etc. will be needed) I am setting the full length of production to be 4 months. • Therefore, Pre-Production will start on 25th August 2016 with Post-Production ending 24th February 2017.
  • 4. Pre-Production • Beginning on the 25th August 2016 with a prior developed story stemming from an original idea (I.E, I have came up with the idea for my TV Show in the earlier stages of P2. • Jed Mercurio and Gillian Anderson (Producers), Sally Wainwright (writer) and Nick Hurran (Director) prepare the synopsis of the Show, the step outline (breaking down scenes to analyze dramatic structure) and the treatment, identifying the story, the mood and the characters. This should lead up to the 8th February 2016 (1 Week) • During this time, a pitch is produced by the producers with assistance from the writer. This will be taken to all of the suggested cast and crew and they will be attached to the show’s production. With these attachments signed, financiers will be approached and the Show will receive the green light.

Extras • Where 10 extras are needed, these will be weekend scenes, with minimum staff working overtime in the media building and these will all appear to be doing office work and engaging in conversations. • Where 20 extras are needed, these will be weekday scenes where all workers are needed in the media building and these will all appear to be doing office work and engaging in conversations. • Where 100 extras are needed, these will be street scenes where the actors are filmed on their commute to work.
  • 15. Locations • Scenes filmed at Liverpool film studios are night scenes, showing the apartments or the nightly activities of the characters. • Films in Deyes High School will be the office building and the idea behind the school set up is that a student set up there early in his career and built it into a media conglomerate but did not change the layout when he bought it.
  • 16. Post- Production • Here, each episode will be assembled by the eidtors and the cgi will be added onto the green-screen scenes. Audio will also be edited with music tracks and songs and an original score created. This will be done in the time between the end of filming (27/11/16) and the air date (06/01/17).
  • 17. Contingencies • I have proposed to hire a larger than necessary studio so that if there are any issues with the studio and it is necessary to be moved into a smaller one, the size difference will not hinder the show’s filming ability. • Only main characters are essential to the show. The positions of secondary characters are interchangeable and should any actors/actresses be ill, they will not affect the filming. Should any main actors be ill or unavailable, they can re-film their scenes in the contingency time I have allotted. • Should any of the TV or Radio shows in my Marketing plan be unavailable or unwilling to participate in interviews to promote my show, I will use the money I would have used on those for extra billboards and extra online advertising in order to ensure that my show is still aptly promoted.
  • 18. Marketing • From December, small teaser adverts will start airing on ITV with posters being distributed in late December. In the first week of January, the cast will appear on talkshows ready for the release of the episode on 6th January. Throughout the series, the stars will be using their social media pages to continue to promote the show while dedicated social media pages will be set up to continue to promote.
