2. Introduction to MICE Industry:
MICE Industry is one of the major segment of tourism
industry. Tourism is a travel for leisure or business
purposes with the duration not less than 24 hours and
not more than one consecutive year. MICE is one of the
fastest growing industry within the tourism industry. It
helps to generate millions of revenue for the countries.
MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions
and Exhibitions. ‘E’ sometimes refers as Events and ‘C’
as Conferences.

3. Meetings:
A meeting is a gathering of
people in one place for the
c o m m o n p u r p o s e o f
sharing the information,
discussing the problems
and solving them. More
often meetings refers to
the corporate gatherings
which are held by the
companies such as board
meetings, share holders
meetings, training seminars

4. Incentive Travels:
Incentive is a kind of
reward or a motivating
tool provided by the the
organization to its sales
r e p r e s e n t a t i v e s ,
production workers, staffs
or sometimes for the
costumers. Such travel
d o e s n o t h a v e a n y
business related activities
or very little in some case.

5. Conventions:
Conventions are similar to the meetings where people
gathered for a common objectives, but in a large number
and often last for several days. Conventions are
organized by associations and usually conducted once a
year.

6. Exhibitions:
Generally exhibitions are organized for the presentation
or for the promotion the new products and services to
the people who have an interest in them. Sometimes it
is referred as Events as well. The purposes of such
events are to introduce new products get leads on
