PAKISTANI DRAMAS
VS
INDIAN DRAMAS

WHAT IS DRAMA
Drama is a unique tool to explore and
express human feeling.
Drama is an essential form of behavior
in all cultures, it is a fundamental human
activity.
Introduction

Foundation laid of dramas
 Ekta Kapoor is an Indian TV and film producer. She is the Joint
Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms,
her production company.

 Haseena Moin is a Pakistani
dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She has
written several plays for stage, radio and
television,

 Realistic V/s Non realistic
 Sas Bahu fight
 Idea of reborn
 Fictional characters
 Short time V/s Long time period
 Wedding Festivals
 Twist in dramas
 Focus on stories V/s Makeover
 Background music
 Tittle tracks
OUTLINE

The Pakistani dramas were more realistic than
the Indian dramas. The viewers can relate to the
dramas. They depicted the true picture of their
society, their problem and their issues whereas
the Indian Dramas were un-realistic in nature so
slowly and gradually they went unpopular and
finally died out
Realistic v/s Unrealistic depiction

Both dramas based on Love story
Both dramas have SAS BAHU Fights
BUT
Indian dramas have some fictional character in their
dramas
Idea of rebirth/reborn
There is much more suspense in Indian dramas
Similarities AND Difference

Much more twists, suspense ,
drama in indian dramas

 Indians believes more in Fictional characters like
Naggin, witches, etc
 Therefore Pakistani stories are more realistic and are
not based on the circle of this fictional characters
But it is sad to say in India rating for such kind of
dramas having fictional character are more as
compared to other dramas.
As naggin , sasural simarka are more watched dramas
going in India
FICTIONAL
CHARACTERS


IDEA OF
REBIRTH AND
REBORN

 Kasauti Zindagi Ki
 Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu the
 kahani ghar ghar ki
Example Of Indian Dramas

 Wo Hamsafar tha.
 Zindagi gulzaar han.
 Shehr e zaat .
Example Of Pakistani Dramas

 The traditional Indian soap serials usually used to
last for a long time (a year or two or even more
sometimes). The viewers usually lost interest in
watching such long engaging serials whereas
Pakistani dramas were prepared with a defined
scope, time period and were lesson oriented
Short time period v/s lengthy time
period
INDIAN DRAMAS
 KAHANI GHAR GHAR KI (time period 8-9 years)
 Yeh rishta kya kehlata hai.(start in 2007 and still r
 running)
EXAMPLE OF INDIAN DRAMS

HUMSAFAR(time period 2 months)
Dil e muztr (time period 2.5 months)
Alvida ay dil (time period 3 months)
EXAMPLE OF PAKISTANI DRAMAS

For Example
 Wo humsafar Tha
 Man Mayal
 Ishq e memnoo (Its may be a Turkish drama but tittle
track was sing by our famous legend RAHET
FATEH ALI KHAN )
 Alvida e Dil
Pakistani dramas actually have damn
good title tracks

Indian drama need dramatic 'dhumta na na'
background to depict every emotion.


 Indian dramas more focus on glamour but Pakistani
dramas were based on stories and the sets were also
designed accordingly.
 Also the costumes chosen for the actors of a
particular drama filmed in Pakistan was in relevance
to the story line of the drama. This was lacking in
Indian drama
Focus on story line v/s focus on make-overs

Costumes

Indian dramas
In Indians dramas the marriage and festivals run for 2-3
months like marriage of akshara in ye rishta kya
kehlata hai.
Wedding and festivals

 PAKISTANI DRAMAS
 THEIR EVENTS OR FESTIVALS END IN 1 OR 2
EPISODES.
LIKE MARRIAGE OF ZAROON ANS KASHAF IN
ZINDAGI GULZAAR HAN.

 In a recent interview, Kajol talked about her craze
for Pakistani dramas.
 Wr cannot compare our films to Pakistani Shows
.They are far more superior (ACTOR Pares Rawal).
These are some point of veiws by some indian actors I
am not saying Pakistani dramas are better than Indian
dramas , they are the people living in the india saying it
Point of views of some people

conclusion
 We have left over religious values and are applying
hindu traditions in our daily life
 When the muslims acted upon their own culture
they were victorious.when they left islam they
become slaves
 To get back our culture we must leave indian culture
and adopt Pakistani culture
