2. About the MBA
• The MBA in Insurance is designed for professionals holding
the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter
(CPCU) but anyone with an insurance background can apply.
• Olivet College, in partnership with the Institutes awards up to
24 hours of credit for CPCU certification toward the MBA in
Insurance.
• The MBA in Insurance is a 12 course, 48 credit hour degree
program which leads to a Masters of Insurance.
• There are 8 core classes, 24 hours of credit, that are required to
obtain the degree.
3. Facts to Consider
• All classes are on-line in real time - meaning you will never
have to come to our campus to complete your MBA
• Total credits needed to complete your MBA are 48 but if you
have your CPCU® we can waive up to 24 of those credits
• We run 4 semesters a year, 8 week semesters, generally 3
classes a semester
• Each class runs one night a week for 2 hours, generally from 6
– 8 pm EST
• Olivet College waives the GMAT if you have your CPCU®
designation
• We use Adobe Connect and Blackboard for classroom and
homework assignments

• Adobe Connect is a web conferencing platform for web meetings,
eLearning, and webinars.
• Adobe Connect enables mobile learning on virtually any device to
conduct training or participate in virtual classes across devices

• This provides learners to have access anywhere, anytime on virtually
any device.

• If you are completing FAFSA on the Web for the first time, we

electronically sign your application, make corrections after
submitting the application, and review your processed
application data.
