 physical keyboard may be optional, wireless or in

 Wifi connectivity (wifi = wireless internet)

 Preloaded apps, with additional apps available in
“app store” / “play store” / “GetJar” / etc
 Access email, play games, video chat, create and
share files, pictures, videos, make music, read ebooks
& emagazines, listen to audiobooks, stream movies

 Borrow digital books for free
 Borrow up to 6 titles at one time
 Place holds on unavailable titles
 Titles automatically returned after two
weeks
 Can be returned early

GET STARTED:
 Install OverDrive Media Console App
 Available from your app store
 Need free Adobe ID to read EPUB ebooks
 Ack - A new login!
 Visit Adobe.com
 Click “Menu” -> “Create an Adobe ID”
 When prompted, authorize device or
 Go to app settings and authorize

 Get books
 Tap menu (three lines)
or
 Swipe to the right to pull
up menu bar
 Tap “Add a Library”
 Search by zip, city,
library name
 Tap the STAR to save
LION catalog in app
 Tap “Libraries Online”
to open catalog

8. EBOOKS & AUDIOBOOKS
 Browse for ebooks & audiobooks
 Use Search or Advanced Search
to find specific titles, authors, etc
 Black icons=book available
/ Grey icons=place a hold
 Tap book cover, then
Borrow to borrow book

9. EBOOKS & AUDIOBOOKS
 Choose Blackstone library
 Enter library card number –
tap Sign in
 Tap Download, choose Adobe EPUB,
tap Confirm & Download
 You can also read in the browser
(must be connected to wifi)
 Can return ebooks early or let them
expire after 2 weeks

10. KINDLE FIRE DOWNLOADS ONLY
 Redirected to amazon.com to complete checkout
 Sign in --- choose device --- book will be delivered to carousel
 Log into amazon.com to Manage Your Device – to re-download/return
early
