don't be afraid to suggest new ideas etc @
YPOW, just because you are new does not
make your ideas any less valid

Be adventurous in exploring & trying new
things. Nurture your own enthusiasm &
opportunities will arise to share with
others.

Best advice I got (for my flibbertygibbit ways) was
"focus on the strategic few". Challenge = identifying
the strategic few

Follow your passion & develop your
interests and all else will follow. Trust this.

Editor's Notes
Decide what you want
What do you want out of your career?
What do you want out of life more generally?
Where are your prepared to compromise?
Where is your line in the sand?
Is it really possible to have it all?
Catch cry of women: we can have it all! But can we have it all at once?
Get strategic. Prioritise.
I made a conscious decision to work my butt off in my 20s.
Nobody but you owes you anything. Cultivate a good attitude towards yourself and your path in this profession.
Get a personal vision – think about where you want to be in the long term. Consider how long you’re willing to take to get there.
Embrace serendipity – it’s totally legit, and I wouldn’t be here without it.
Your professional development is no one else’s responsibility. Step up and look after it. It’s your livelihood.
If you’re asked to do something, and you don’t know how, work it out. Research. Talk to people. Seek clarification. Just get on with it.
This has largely been what’s gotten me where I am.
