Kari Peltola is the CEO of Leonidas, a leading Finnish XR company, and founder of VR Finland. He discussed the current state and future of extended reality (XR), including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). Emerging technologies like standalone VR headsets, ARKit, HoloLens, and Magic Leap will drive the seamless interaction of digital and physical worlds. Reality will be captured, shared, augmented, and created in new immersive ways. The limits of our imagination will define what is possible as technology improves display resolution, speech/gesture recognition, and adds additional senses.
