4. COLLABORATIVE TOOLS
 Collaboration is a way that people work
together. It is essential in an education
setting in order to reach a goal for students.
Collaboration is a great way for people to
work together in order to fulfill a common
goal. There are ways people can collaborate
online with certain tools.
 One of the most common tools used for
collaboration is the Google Docs. It is
basically like Microsoft word but online and
other people can view/edit the documents.
 This will work great for teachers in special
education. I think that a teacher could use a
collaborative online tool with parents. As
students get older and gain an
understanding of online sources they could
even be involved.
5. OTHER COLLABORATIVE TOOLS
Some other collaborative tools include :
 Google docs
 Inetword

6. RESEARCH TOOLS
 Research tools are online sources to find information
or answer s to questions. There are many dif ferent
research tools, one of my favorite research tools would
be google. It is an online database that has a wide
range of knowledge and information.
 An impor tant fact to remember is that just because
you find it on a network doesn’t mean that it is from a
trusted resource. Many times Libraries provide
databases that will benefit.
 Research tools would benefit a child with special
needs learning in the ways that it would provide them
with accurate information, apps can be downloaded
that are research tools for the iPad/iPod, and there
are many other advantages. There are some search
engines that have a step by step procedure that would
make researching for special needs easier. Another
aspect that would help special needs students would
be the keyword/title search box, it allows the students
to modify and simplify their findings, making it easier
to find what they need.

8. VIDEO TOOLS
 Video tools are programs that allow you to either
make or upload a video in order to view it.
 There are many dif ferent programs that allow
you to view videos, one of the most popular
programs would be youtube , they let you
create, upload, and watch videos. The downfall
to youtube is that it is extremely broad and easy
to get distracted.
 My favorite program to create videos with you be
vimeo, it is extremely easy and self explanator y.
It also allows you to share the video which would
be great for future reference.
 This will allow students with special needs to be
able to change the viewing settings, it would
ser ve as a great motivator, stimulate
learning, and with assistance(if needed) they
could allow students to create their own video!
9. OTHER VIDEO TOOLS
