What do you get? • New, state of the art crawl and query software • New, faster hardware • Better control of crawl and query tuning • A number of new features...
Initial new features • Query autocomplete • Raven-authenticated crawling for ‘internal’ search (along with crawling from a CUDN IP address)
What you might notice • User agent: FunnelBack (search-support@ucs.cam.ac.uk) FunnelBack (internal search; search-support@ucs.cam.ac.uk) • Crawler hostname/IP address • Raven-authenticated spidering • Details of the query syntax • Access to machine-readable results
Where are we? • Test systems installed, test crawls underway • Production configuration being established • Version of search.cam with Funnelback under development • Cut-over deployment later this calendar year?
