such spaces globally. The survey also predicts about 2.2 million people are going to use these

3. Survey Predictions for 2019
The 2019 Global Coworking is an independent survey of coworking spaces and ventures conducted online.
The surveyors analysed the data collected and predicted that by the end of the year, almost 2.2 million
people are going to work in more than 22,000 coworking spaces all over the world.
The survey also reveals that 11 percent of flexible workspaces, mostly located in extremely populous
cities, had over 300 members. It also reports an oversaturation of coworking spaces in large cities.
Attracting new people to become members of coworking spaces remains the foremost challenge of these
businesses, with 60 percent saying it is their primary concern. However, 32 percent of these businesses
responded one of their major concern is that their spaces cannot meet demands.

4. Continued Business Growth
A separate study showed coworking space will continue to grow as an industry. The study projects that
the industry will grow 9.5 percent more compared to the same time period in 2018. New coworking spaces
will make up 65.3 percent of this growth, while 26.2 percent will be from the expansion of pre-existing
spaces.
The study also ranked countries by the growth of their coworking industries per capita. The top three
countries in ascending order were Ireland, Singapore and Luxembourg. The conveniences and amenities
provided by these services and theirpracticality in the face of economic uncertainty could contribute to
the growth of the industry.
