The Committee advises the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in establishing criteria and procedures for identifying recipients of grants under the Digital Divide Elimination Act. The advisory committee shall obtain advice from the technology industry regarding current technological standards. The advisory committee shall seek any available federal funding.

1. Call to Order: Matthew Stonecipher (DCEO legal) Called the meeting to order at
10:03am
2. Approval of Committee Meeting Minutes: Frances Roehm made motioned to adopt the
minutes of December 13, 2013, seconded by Norm Peterson. Motion approved.
3. Election of Committee Chair: Norman Peterson motioned to nominate Daniel O’Neil.
Mark Harris seconded.

Daniel O’Neil
Abstain: Frances Roehm
By vote of 3 in favor (1 absent), Daniel O’Neil is elected Chairman.
4. Program Update: DCEO Staff reported on the status of the FY13 Eliminate the Digital
Divide Program
2. The Digital Divide application was loaded on to the website on February 06,
2014.
Deadline to apply for the Digitial Divide is March 14.
Grants anticipated to be awarded in June.
5. Next Steps:
By laws should be updated
Committee members need to complete the Open Meeting Act Training
Discussion in regards to the information that is made available online. It was
stated that more information should be put on-line.
Recommendation to have the Committee assist in looking for people down state
to submit Digital Divide applications.
Discussion on seeking other funding sources.
6. Call for Public Comment:
No comments received from the public.
7. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Daniel O’Neil, seconded by Frances
Roehm and carried a unanimous vote. The meeting was adjourned at 11:28am.
