This document summarizes a European Union project aimed at combating fraud in means of payment. The project involves cooperation between 8 consumer associations and stakeholders like banks, card issuers, police and government institutions. The goals are to educate consumers, improve cooperation against fraud networks operating across borders, and influence legislation regarding consumer protection for new payment methods. Partner organizations held seminars in multiple countries to discuss trends in electronic payment fraud and strategies to prevent it.
