8. 1. Recall Question
To determine if students have acquired or
obtained a desired amount of factual
information.
Remember specific information that they have
learned beforehand.
There is but one correct answer.

Ans. General Gregorio del Pilar.
b.) Where is Butuan City is located
Ans.

10. 2. Descriptive Question
Help student put together and organize facts which they
have gathered.
To make some sense out of their data.
To describe, compare, contrast or compare and
contrast data.
Describe aspects of this information in greater detail.
11. Example
a.) Describe the kinds of problems faced by
Oversees Filipino Workers in 1990’s.
b.) Compare the peace and order situation in
the Philippines under President Ramos
and with peace and order situation under
President Estrada.
12. 3. Explanatory Questions
Students must tell why they think as they
do. In short, they must explain the reason
behind their answer.
Example
a.) Why do you think Russia is building more
nuclear submarine?
13. 4. Synthesizing Questions
To get students to suggest connections or relationship that
they believe certain data support and on what basis.
Requires the student to put things together to combine,
relate or connect pieces of previously unconnected
content.
Seek out relationships from connections and drawn
conclusions.

a.) What conclusions have you come to
regarding the foreign policies of Bush
and Clinton?
b.) What indications does the author’s
argument have for resolving present
day tensions in Mindanao?
15. 5. Judgmental Question
Requires students to choose among alternatives
making a judgment as to which of two or more
possibilities is best according to some previously
established criteria.
Example
a.) Which of the following conclusions is the most
logical?
16. 6. Open-Ended Questions
Require students to seek and determine
for themselves what to consider to be
acceptable answers.
Example
a.)What kind of world might exist if there were
no music?
