3. Idea generation and Brainstorming
 At least 5 to 7 ideas to go over and
discuss
– These ideas need to be different ideas
– Lump similar ideas together
– Forks, knives, and spoons?
» Lets call this Cutlery or Silverware,one
idea
– Be as specific or as general as you want
to be
– It doesn’t matter if they are good or bad
ideas because ideas that may not work
for you, are still a good opportunity to
teach you how the whole process works
– The goal is to teach you the different
approaches to selling things online
– If you are familiar with the product idea
then that is very helpful, but not absolutely
necessary to be successful selling online
– And if you have more ideas then just 5-7
then then great, write down anything that
comes to mind and we will narrow it down

4. Get started on you business setup
 You must have a business license to do business in
the US legally
 You can write off the cost of doing business
– Home office, internet, business education, etc.
 You should contact an accountant or lawyer to find
out what business type is best for you
– LLC, Scorp, Ccorp etc.
 It is the correct and most professional way
 It is important to collect sales tax correctly
 Many suppliers cant work with you if don’t have one
