• Design responsible for optimized umbilicals, RTPs and flexible tubings;
• Integration engineer responsible for global umbilical projects first delivered for Saipem (Europe), IOCL
(India) and NPCC (Saudi Aramco );
• Engineer leader for New technology / Advanced engineering area;
• Design responsible for umbilical ancillaries. design from material selection and geometry up to final
qualification process (FEA simulations and tests) and suppliers development;
• Quality improvement, cost reduction and integration engineer responsible for new and ongoing
projects, acting as a liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, quality, supply chain, commercial,
technical assistance and customers to have the best solutions and costs, on time;
• Develop technical procedures, including Material specs, engineering, tests, installation and
manufacture procedures for product development and ongoing products.
• Prepare and support in technical reports including root cause analysis for failed umbilical components
and ancillaries.
2 - Ford Motor Company
Position: Sr. Product development engineer
Period: Feb/2010 to Jan/2014.
• Lead implementation of QOS (quality operating system) in all drivetrain suppliers, creating controls and
process improvements to reduce the main Ford quality indicators . 30% quality metrics improvement.
• Two management recognitions (QOS implementation and Technical leadership for New Troller T4);
• DMAIC Green belt project for rear axle, reducing seal oil leakage in 90% for South America Ford Ranger;
• New global projects/programs development (New Ecosport, New Ford Ranger, Troller T4) - Focus on
driveline Area - 4WD components. Project leader from basic design up to Job1;
• Driveline component/systems development for Ford North America, Europe, South America and Asia
Pacific programs - Global design leader for B car halfshafts;
• Engineer in charge of validation and implementation of cost reduction action with quality focus and

• Quality improvements and cost reduction in the driveline team (Rear Axle, Front
Axle, Driveshaft, Halfshaft and Transfer case). Focus on the vehicle Ranger for Ford
South America. Reduced by 50% the 3MIS R/1000 indicator during this period.

• Implement safety and ergonomic improvement projects, like beam supports design, lifting
drum cabin and conveyor belt roller maintenance dispositive (project for internal
improvement program competition).
• Identify all not covered areas responsible for rainwater entrance on the precipitation phase
to reduce the amount of energy to vaporize water on the process. 1200m² area reduced (2M
USD saved in 2007).

HCR hoses deformation during umbilical radial compression process using

opportunities and needs of the Automotive sector and related industries,
developing theoretical-practical concepts, skills and tools that assist in
analyzing problems of product development, supporting decision making

Conical brake system
Founding member and responsible for the design
and manufacturing of SAE BAJA all-terrain vehicle
transmission and brake systems for competitive and
scientific purposes, using CAD, FEA and
mathematical models.
Project Author : Conical brake system for small vehicles,
presented at the XVI international congress SAE BRASIL 2007
awarded among the 3 best projects in Latin America.
The brake system proposed could transmit power through a
conical face, using a 12 degrees angle, obtaining a torque 4.8
times greater than a conventional disk brake for the same
comparative parameters.

UFPB: SAE-Baja Project Conical brake system Founding member and responsible for the design and manufacturing of SAE BAJA all-terrain vehicle transmission and brake systems for competitive and scientific purposes, using CAD, FEA and mathematical models. Project Author : Conical brake system for small vehicles, presented at the XVI international congress SAE BRASIL 2007 awarded among the 3 best projects in Latin America. The brake system proposed could transmit power through a conical face, using a 12 degrees angle, obtaining a torque 4.8 times greater than a conventional disk brake for the same comparative parameters.
