2. INTERDUCTION
 Hello my name is Hafsa.Today I will be talking about the healer
and what they did in Medieval times by helping people.
 Please ask questions till the end .

3. DOCTORS CLOTHING
 Since I am a girl I would have worn a long dress from my neck to
my ankles and shoes ,boys would wear heavy jackets tights and big
leather boots .colors doctors could wear were scarlet ,green ,blue and
white.

4. DISEASES AND CURES
First I will be talking about diseases and cures, peasants had a lot of skin
infections ,there was a deadly disease called Black Death from 1348 to 1350 75
million to 200 million people died which is 30 to 60 percent of Europe’s people
died it took 150 years to recover the full population of Europe. The second
Disease is very disturbing it’s called Leprosy it attacked your skin, you lost
herves, eyes and fingers (It’s true.)The next disease is the humors each one has a
meaning black bile means sad and gloomy, yellow bile means easily
angered, phlegm means calm and the last one blood means cheerful. A few cures
for diseases are talking special diets, exercise and talking hot and cold baths.

5. FOODS AND COOKING
 Next I will be talking about foods. You must be wondering how these people
cooked food they used fires and big medal pots there were no ovens back than Next
is meals of the day , People in medieval times 5 meals in the day, when now we have
3 meals and a little snack. For breakfast they had a small bit of bread ,after they had
a appetizer which is bread and soup ,for lunch they had a meat dish they had
options stewed beef, roast pork and lamb chops, for dinner they had stewed
chicken, bread and cheese ,the last thing they had is a small desert which is more
cheese and small cake.

6. ETIQUETTE
 In Medieval Times manners were very important especially for
royalty. During special occasions the most important thing was
washing your hands and manners, the reason they washed their
hands before eating was they used there hands there were no
spoons, forks or knifes and before they had a sip of their water they
wipe their mouths with a cloth than took a sip of there drink .

7. FOODS IN FESTIVALS AND
FEASTS
 During parties for a Nobles,Lords,Ladies,Kings and Queens they
ate bread, soup and ale for the appetizers , for the next meal they had
peacocks and swans with fine spiced wine, for desert they had ginger
bread and sweet plum pudding.

8. ENTERTAINMENT
 Parties for lords,ladys,nobles, kings and queens they all had
entertainment for there guest like Musicians who sang songs and
played instruments like trumpets,flutes,pianos and a harp ,Jugglers
who juggled more than one ball at a time and mummers which are
actors.

 Spices saffron,cumin,cloves,cardamom,nutmeg and pepper
 3.What were some unusual treatments for aliments these people
who suffered ? (playing music.)
 4.Are there any cures,medicines,remedies, that are still used today?
 Yes putting spices in the medicines
 (Facts) there was a Hospital found in 1123 in London, England
called St. Bartholomew
