August 2007

              I was sad.
I wanted to be happy most of
          the time.
So I made a book.
So I made a book.

Inconclusive.
Then I came to Japan
So I studied.
Slow progress.
Exercise Diet

           Health
 Sleep No illness No pain
?
        Family?

? Money?
                                      ?

        Happiness
    ? A hobby? ?
People seem happiest when
they have:

                                       Martin Seligman

- Pleasure (tasty foods, warm baths, etc.),
- Engagement (or flow, doing something challenging)
- Relationships (social ties),
- Meaning (a quest or belonging to something bigger)
- Accomplishments (having realised tangible goals).
Abraham
 Maslow

          Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
“The Stoics maintain that
         happiness is living in
         accordance with Nature…
Only that which is perfectly in
         accordance with nature as
         whole is truly perfect.”

Seneca
Personality?
Are we unique?
Hmmm...
Life
Try painting!

Life
What about
 Greek?

                    Try painting!

             Life
Let’s try.
Here’s the theory:
Snowboarding
Skiing

Snowboarding

Snowboarding

               Teaching
               mathematics
Skiing Baking
Snowboarding

               Teaching
               mathematics
Playing chess
Skydiving

Playing chess
10 points
30 points.
30 points..
30 points...
Sounds good.
LifeMapper
DEMO 1
So I tried new activities:
What did I find?
Health is most important.
Health is most important.

After that, a feeling of control...
Health is most important.

After that, a feeling of control...

                But you must not forget...
...kinda obviously...
If you do what you love, you
         are happy.
But wait!
You can choose to love.
So if you choose to love...
       you’re happy.
So if you choose to love...
       you’re happy.

    Simple as that. :)
