2. Launch date
The launch date for my magazine is Friday 23rd June, I have chosen this date in order to launch my magazine
because it gives me and the staff hired enough time In order to ensure that the magazine is of a high quality
and that there are no errors in the magazine. I also have chosen this date because it is based within the
summer period so therefore music is likely to be popular at this time due to upcoming festivals, gigs etc. This
could mean an increase in the amount of advertising in the magazine and could increase the amount of
revenue in the magazine.
Also for the magazine it is important to allow a longer period of time so therefore there is less chance of delay
when releasing the magazine. This means that if there was a delay with the magazine it means that readers
may become less interested about the release of the magazine.
3. Environment of presentation
In my presentation I have used an interactive whiteboard in order for everyone who was viewing my
PowerPoint to see each of the slides. I used an slide changer in order for me when presenting my pitch to be
able to change slides easily and effectively without having to stand by the computer changing the slides
manually each time. I used an Mac in order to present my pitch because it allowed me to be able to view my
Prezi presentation on the interactive white board without any delays to my pitch. I used a camera in order to
be able to film my pitch because it was of a high quality and allowed me to be able to film in HD. I used a
camera stand in order for me to be able to place the camera at an angle where the camera is faced towards me
and the whiteboard.
4. Evidence of pitch
The following screenshots from my pitch are a source of evidence. It shows that my pitch
was recorded on camera and that my pitch represented the magazines I created well.
Also by recording the pitch it allowed me to be able to watch over the pitch and
determine my strengths and my weaknesses so therefore if I was to do the pitch again in
the future I would know what I need to improve upon and this could make my pitches
more successful.
Based on the feedback which I received from the people watching my pitch was that I
was very well presented and spoke clearly with a good amount of eye contact and
appeared to be very confident. But the negatives in which I received about my pitch was
that I need to use more body language in my pitch and use better vocabulary during my
pitch.
5. Conclusion
Overall in this learning objective I have felt that I have created a very strong product that will sell successfully in
the targeted market. I also feel that the product will fit in very well with the competitors and will hopefully be
more successful than the competitors.
Also I have created a detailed pitch which I felt I have performed to a high quality so therefore would more
likely that the publisher is going to want to publish my product which will enable my product to be successful
and sell in shops.
