What the regs say… In the year in which the child will turn 16, the IEP must contain… “  A statement of appropriate, measurable post secondary goals based on age appropriate  transition assessments  related to  training ,  education ,  employment  and where appropriate, independent livings skills, and transition services ( including courses of study) needed to assist the child in reaching these goals .”
