What is tuenti?
-Social Spanish network that began in the year 2006 - only you can
register with invitation - cannot look if you are not registered - use
personal information: name, province, age, account of mail - there is no
nicks - simple functioning - you can: to raise photos, to write comments
and private messages, to put videoes, to see the profiles of your friends,
etc.
 How can we demand to the youth that there does Tuenti's
coherent and productive use if from the education it is not
educated for it?
For what Tuenti in the education?
1. t allows to have a nearest relation with the
student body, which it makes possible in turn
to have a good climate of classroom.
2. To share with the student body educational
materials (photos, videoes, etc.) elaborated in
class and also in excursions.
3. Both the pupils and the teacher can do
comments on photos and videoes, with what it
increases the feedback and the constructive
critique towards possible mistakes.
4. To evaluate activities realized in class across
photos and videoes.
5. To create events in Tuenti related to the
subject.
6. Links to possible web pages as well as to create a blog inside
Tuenti.
7. To control possible conflicts between the student body.
8. Across the paragraph "Messages" it is possible to facilitate a
virtual tutorship with the teacher, in such a way that the pupils
could formulate questions or doubts on things treated in class.
9. Forms a more autonomous, responsible and sure pupil in a use of
the TIC, fundamental tool in the company of the 21st century.
 Experience of a teacher who decided to use Tuenti in the
classroom creating an edublog.

Pros and cons
 PROS: - to improve the learning and the interaction between
couples - to generate knowledge of a collaborative way - very
flexible with the use of lists of friends - pupils responsible for
his learning process - can be used in mobiles, a custom that
develops non-stop and that allows major flexibility - more than
600 million users! (More than 7 in Spain)
Pros and cons
 CONS:
 - protection of personal and educational information
(investigation)
 - incites to play (to games of payment)
 - it is necessary to be 13 years old an account to be done - it is
necessary form the teachers

 They promote the dialog between the companions.
 They promote to share resources. They facilitate the
collaboration and develop communicative skills.
 The teachers accede to information elaborated by other
teachers or by scientists and investigators of the whole world.
 They help to improve the communication between the educational
center and his social environment, to optimize the management of
the centers and the communication with the educational
administration and to provide major opportunities of professional
development and formation continued to the teachers.
 Teacher - pupil improve the communication. They stimulate the
participation, questions, interaction, activities.
 The educational world cannot remain foreign before social
phenomena as this one that is changing the form of
communication between the persons.
 The possibilities of the social networks are great and his use
will depend on the needs of the moment, as well as on the
capacity of the teacher to discover new applications.
 The networks can reach very much to the education and
suppose an opening to the world.
