2. John Antoine Labadie
Dr. Labadie has over 30 years experience in the visual arts. Labadie's art career includes professional
positions in photography, scientific illustration, journal & magazine editing, art direction, graphic
design and fine arts. Labadie regularly publishes and exhibits with professional national and
international groups and associations in the USA, the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Dr. Labadie is currently an Associate Professor of Art, serves as the Director of the UNCP Digital
Academy and teaches digital art studio, digital art appreciation, communication design and media
integration studies courses.
In 2005-2006 John Antoine Labadie served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar with the Center for
Creativity & Innovation Studies at National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan and also as Visiting
Artist at Taipei National University of the Arts in Beitou, Taiwan and The Beijing Film Academy in
Beijing, China.
The images in this collection were made between 2006 – 2008. These artworks represent a small
portion of the work produced and exhibited by Dr. Labadie during this period.
