The document provides instructions and assignments for a science class, including completing power notes on physical versus chemical changes, reviewing gas laws illustrated with videos and graphs, and answering questions about the topics. Students are asked to log assignments, gather materials, finish tasks by certain dates, and turn in work individually or with group members. The document outlines the daily plan, assignments, and expectations for the science lesson.

8. Charles’ Gas Law
Charles’ Gas Law shows the relationship between
___________________(T) and
______________________ (V). Charles and Gay-
Lussac’s Law was named in honor of the two French
scientists who first investigated the relationship.
Charles did the original work, which was verified by
Gay-Lussac.
They observed that if the _______________(P) is
held constant, the volume will increase as the
temperature increases and vise versa. This type of
relationship is known as a direct relationship .
Illustrate the generic graph that show this
relationship from Site #1 on Learning

9. Boyle’s Gas Law
In the mid 1600’s, Robert Boyle studied the
relationship between the ________________ (P) and
_______________(V) of a confined gas held at a
constant ________________(T).
Boyle observed that as pressure (the push) on the
gas increased, the amount of space the gas
occupies ______________________. This is known as
an indirect relationship . This relationship between
pressure and volume is called Boyle ’s Law in his
honor.
Illustrate the generic graph that show this
relationship from Site #2 on Learning
Point.
