Daily Market Insight
A dull start to the markets this weak as
both the Sensex and Nifty closed in red
ahead of the RBI review policy meet
tomorrow.
While Sensex declined 0.4 percent to
19,245 and Nifty ended 23 points lower at
5,857. The rupee also traded lower against
the dollar at 54.73 after the government
lowered its GDP forecast to between 5.7 –
5.9 percent for this fiscal year against the
earlier budgeted forecast of 7.6 percent.
HDFC and HDFC BANK shares slipped 1.6-
1.8%. Most investors remained cautious
and refrained from enlarging any fresh
positions before the RBI mid-quarterly
policy meeting tomorrow.

review policy 5860 will be a strong support
if market cross this level and sustain below
this we can see the 5700 levels and the
same if market trade above 5902 and
Outlook for the day sustain above this level go long with the
support of 5860-5855
Chief Economic Advisor to the Finance Ministry
Raghuram Rajan also said achieving the full
year fiscal deficit target of 5.3 percent of gross
domestic product will remain a tough task. Rajan
highlighted the need to revive growth in order to INDICES LTP Change % Change
improve tax collections. He also said that the NIFTY

The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6000 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6000 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6000 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5500 to 5800 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5800 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY will be trading below 5900 and it
might break 5800 mark.
