Daily Market Insight
Technical View-
Indian equities settled marginally low er on
T uesday amid profit booking. Markets
opened higher on the back of fresh buying
seen across counters led by FIIs inflow .
Later in the second half, profit booking w as
witnessed today ahead of the inflation and
IIP data which can lead to volatility in near
term. Midcaps and smallcaps were also hit
due to profit-booking.
The 30-share BSE index Sensex w as down
22.55 points (-0.12% ) at 19,387.19 and the
50-share NSE index Nifty w as down 10.1
points (-0.17% ) at 5,898.80.
Volume toppers were SBI, ICICI Bank, T ata
Motors, Infosys and L&T . T op five Sensex
gainers were Jindal Steel, Bajaj Auto, HUL,
Sun Pharma and HDFC, while the top five
losers w ere BHEL, Hindalco, NTPC, Coal
Outlook for the day India and T ata P ow er.
If NIFTY FUT. opens bel ow 5926 and
fundamental View - sustain bel ow this l evel , GO SHORT w ith
European stocks were flat ahead of Federal SL of 5950/5960. If it opens above 5942

The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6000 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6000 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6000 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5500 to 5800 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5800 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5800 and
6000 in near term.
