Media Evaluation, Questions 6 & 7

1. Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
On Microsoft Publisher, I was
able to move images around
Throughout the construction of my three as well as the text.
pieces the software's I used are adobe
photo shop, paint and Microsoft
publisher.
Through photo shop I learnt how to
eliminate the red eyes from the
models I took images of.

2. Dimmed Lighting
On Adobe I was able to edit the image to darken
the light around the two original band members to
make the new member stand out more, (idea from
Rock Sound magazine).
I used the key effects down the side to achieve this
effect.
In my opinion I think this effect makes the image
stand out, and eye catching for the readers.

3. On paint I was able to
cut certain parts of
images and parts of my
final pieces to show my
Original
improvement after
showing my focus
group.
And also using paint and
cutting certain parts of
images has helped with
my evaluation to
highlight the parts I

have changed and how I
removed colours

4. Question 7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel
you have learnt in the progression from it to the full
product?
From my preliminary task, I have
progressed with all the software's I
have used. (Adobe Photo Shop, Paint
and Microsoft Publisher).
I was able to expand my knowledge
and portray that and all my research
into my three pieces.
For my music front cover I was able to
show my improvement from my
preliminary task, as it didn’t show
much skill.
My contents page also has huge
improvement as I carried out more
research for my music magazine, and
it is clearly shown that more
knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and
Microsoft Publisher was gained
throughout the process of my three
pieces.

5. My preliminary contents page doesn’t
show the skill I have for Microsoft
Publisher. However creating my contents
page for my music magazine, I was able
to change more things making it look
more like a contents page and having a
different focus group helped me.
Therefore as I created my second piece
my skills where shown greatly.
As you can see the research that
took place is portrayed on my
music magazine front cover.
There are more technical
elements such as puffs, pugs,
features, captions, etc.
Whereas on my preliminary
tasks my knowledge isn’t shown
as thoroughly.
