  4. 4. • For James Decker, an insurance representative and 35-year-old triathlete, his morning commute became the start of his daily training regimen. • Though he specifically chose a home 12 miles from work for this very purpose, you can always substitute a short subway or taxi ride for a brisk walk.
  5. 5. • The extra activity will go far in preparing you for the miles of running a triathlon promises, and the exercise is a great way to stretch out before starting the day.
  6. 6. • If you lack the space for long runs or trips on a cycle, a stationary bike can be your best friend. • A recent study conducted on cyclists over 48 showed that performing cognitive tasks while using a stationary bike can improve distance times, with no negative effects to the task.
  7. 7. • Marathoning shows, watching the news, and reading work materials can all be done while pedaling away, all within the comfort of your own home. • Using a stationary bike not only enables you to take care of tasks while exercising, you’re also not subject to weather changes that would otherwise interrupt your training, putting you behind schedule.
