He grows from neglected boy to self-reliant adult.
Starr is a young African-American girl with a supportive
family and a white boyfriend. When she witnesses the
fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the
hands of a white police officer, she has to decide
whether to escalate violence or fight against it.
2. SPIKE LEE Film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and professor
Do The Right Thing Spike Lee stars as Mookie, a young
man working at an Italian pizzeria. His boss’ son makes
racist remarks about the black people and a ‘wall of
fame’ in the pizzeria does not include any black stars.
Mookie asks Sal, the owner, to change it. When Sal
refuses, tensions escalate into shocking conflict.
Spike Lee creates provocative films that explore
race relations, political issues and urban crime
and violence. Other films include

memoir by Ron Stallworth, the first Black police
officer and detective in Colorado, America,
who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan.
