1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
2. The processes I went through to get my final product, I didn’t do any of them to make my college magazine. It was more of a practise to get used to Photoshop. I had to do all these to get to my final product. Research Audience Market Planning Pitch Layouts/flatplans Style sheet Planning photographs Writing article copy Production Image manipulation Text manipulation Layout design & manipulation The planning of my college magazine was only on pen and paper and I just sketched what ideas I had for the magazine then I took a photo and produced it on Photoshop.
3. I only used normal fonts for the front cover. I didn’t edit the photo whatsoever which is not like my final product because I edited each photo I used to improve the overall look. I just used plain colours with no gradient or other editing things because I didn’t know how to at this point.
4. I adjusted the level of colour in all of the photos and the main one, this improves it because it makes the dark bits darker and the light bits lighter. I used inner shadow and drop shadow for all of the photos on the left hand side of the page. I learnt how to do this after I'd produced my college magazine. I used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the top of her head and place it over the masthead. I used the highlighter to get rid of some blemishes on the main photo, it looks much better after I’d done it.
