2. The Passion Meter ~ Pattern Finding
The Passion Meter is a tool to obtain insights so we can create our passion statement ~
what we love doing which brings value to others. It is an exercise in awareness, reflection
and pattern finding.
How it Works ~ An Overview The Passion Meter
Follow steps 1 – 10 on the next pages. In brief, you will be writing down +10
the actions you loved doing or did not love doing over the course of
several years or over your lifetime. Then, you’ll find the patterns in what LOVE
you loved or did not love doing. Sometimes insights will occur by
looking at what you do not love doing as much as what you did love
doing. 0
DID
The bottom axis is your age, start from your earliest childhood memories NOT
or whenever you wish. LOVE
-10
The left axis range is from +10 to -10 based on how much you loved Age
doing something or how much you did not love doing something.
Create your own definitions for these levels ~ what does +8 mean to you, how does that differ from a +10, what does -8 mean
to you and how does that differ from a -10. What matters is that you are consistent throughout the exercise.
Please DO NOT start looking for the patterns until you are finished with steps 1 – 10 on the following pages. Also, please DO
NOT think about the relevancy ~ just put as much down on paper as you can remember in order to get the most accurate
results and therefore the most relevant insights into your passions and purpose.
