Comparison between the films
1.
2. As you can see in the highlighted
area, the audience can see the
cast members belongings. One
thing we have learned is to make
sure that all belongings, are not
seen by the audience, unless
they are relevant in the scene,
where in this scene they were
not.
As you can see in the highlighted
area, the audience are unable to
see the character‟s face due to
poor lighting in the background.
We have learnt that in order for
this to change we need to think
about what lighting we are going
to use before shooting the scene.
3. Another thing we have learnt is
to think about the setting/location
before we begin filming, because
although it may not be clear to
the audience, the background
setting is not at all appropriate to
the scene, so this is something
we need to consider when
filming.
In both of these clips it is clear to
see that in one scene, (Lucy), is
wearing a black cardigan, and
then in the next scene (Lucy) is
not wearing a black cardigan, so
here we have a continuity error.
This is something which we have
learnt to focus our attention on
next time we film.
4. We have learnt that
we need to make sure
the space where we
are filming is clear, as
you can see in this
shot, there is someone
in the scene who was
not supposed to be
there, so this is
something we will
need to consider when
next filming.
5. In this shot we thought a lot about the
lighting as we decided that for our film, this
mini scene would be quite important for the
rest of the plot. We used black lighting
because we thought it would help build
tension for what would happen next. Also it
brings mystery to the character as it is
unclear for the audience to see the
character‟s face, so it‟s hard for them to try
and judge what type of character she is.
In this shot we have accidentally cut off the
characters faces meaning the audience are
unable to see them, also meaning that they
will not be able to see their facial
expressions.
6. As you can clearly see in this shot, the
“bully” is supposed kick the “victim” in the
face, and this doesn‟t happen as
realistically as we would have liked,
because when seen in action, the kick is
very unbelievable. We have learnt that in
future we need to make actions more
believable in order to make the audience
believe what is happening.
In these shots it is hard to see the text
which would be a problem for the audience
as this part of the film is quite important as
it explains what has happened to our main
character „Loretta‟ and also who is starring
in our film and what characters they play.
We have learned that we need to consider
lighting and also the angle of the camera
when it comes to filming.
