We use measuring tape to measure and then tie the ropes on the branches. We are also
using photos and traces to record the significant elements on our sites.

Collecting Data.
The surface of the Tree1
is rougher than Tree2.
Plant Species
Bluestem grass
Bluestem Grass
 Bluestem grasses are adapted to environment with high light intensities and
high temperatures.
Bluestem grass has speshal antibiodics in its plat to help it survive.
Bluestem Grass divided into 2 variations that is big bluestem, little bluestem.
Big bluestem grasses can grow up to 10 feet tall and little bluestem can grow up
to 3 feet tall.
The seed of bluestem grasses is chaffy and will not flow well unless it has been
debearded, a process which removes the chaff and hair from the seed.
 Female production ( Seed Production)
Male production ( Pollen Production )
INSECT ( CREATURE )
Dragonfly (Neurothemis fluctuans)
Dragonfly
 Dragonflies are efficient hunters. One dragonfly can eat 30 flies in a row and
100 mosquitoes per day.
 Their compound eyes are very large and have up to 50,000 individual lenses.
Their eyes can Touch Each Other.
 Dragonflies can fly at speed up to 30 miles per hour, 13.4 Meters/Second.
 Males mate right away because they only live between one day to several
weeks. Females live longer so they can lay eggs.
 Typically 500 to 1500 eggs are deposited.
Free Activity
Everyone has involve in the ‘Meeting Game’. We have fun in the river.
From this activity, we know each other better and also grow our relationship.
Night Activity.
We are asked to create our own group’s logo by the materials that we collect from our
site. Due to our group name ‘ Generation Y’ , we decide to create a logo with alphabet
‘Y’ .
From this activity, I realise that every single element in natural has its own uses and
different characteristics.
Final Site Observation - 5 SENSES EXPERIENCE
 SEE – I see a beautiful scene. The combination of river, trees, grasses,
sand and plenty types of insects to form an incredible natural. The most
unforgettable scene that I have seen is the ant trail. There are many ants
migrate in order to find food.
 HEAR – Walked beside the river, I can hear the insects chriping and
the sound of water flowing
 TASTE – I have tried the taste of the water. It is fresh and cold. The
taste has some differences with the mineral water, it taste better
and sweet.
 SMELL – I slice the root and smell it. It smell like vegetable.
 FEEL – I feel peace with the natural. Step in the river, I feel the water
flowing through my legs. The water is cold.
Interesting part.
 Fishes
There are fishes with many variety of sizes at our site.
Because of they shelter between the roots of the trees, so we can catch or capture
them.
 Ants
I see a colony of ants migrate in order to find food. They queue up and form a
long line crossing the road.
 Grass
I see a new growing grass on the rotten part of the rubber tree. Normally grass
grows on the ground, but this show that grass can be grew everywhere and it’s a
strong plant.
Ecosystem
POPULATION
SIZE
The diagram above show the relationship between population and size.
The smaller the size of animal, the greater the population.
Example: Ants have very tiny and small sizes but they are many in numbers.
END OF THE TRIP.
