This document describes the development of a portable air purifier using ionization technique. Trials were conducted in an acrylic chamber to test the device's ability to remove particles and gases typical of indoor environments. The air purifier uses high voltage DC to create plasma that ionizes air particles, giving them a positive or negative charge. Negatively charged particles are then attracted to grounded surfaces, removing pollutants from the air. Test results showed the device was able to remove over 95% of respirable particles from the air. The document concludes the ionization air purifier is an effective way to control indoor air pollution.
