§ Why do poor households don’t have bank accounts?
§ If access to banks is limited, take up would be very
high
§ Why is take-up only 55%?
§ Expected results on saving would be small no?
§ Access to banks through access to credit might be
more important than access to savings technologies
given limited amount of resources

3. Financial education
§ Low acceptance rates
§ Almost no effects on debt and interest rate
§ They didn’t understand the lessons or it does not matter
for their behavior?
§ Important to understand where is the constrain to better
management, maybe it is not in financial management
but rather in the use of technologies
