38. DEFINITIVECHARACTERISTICS
OFTHE REDBED-TYPEDEPOSIT:
• basin-wide (tens of square kilometers) distribution of the Au-Pt-
Pd, dispered character of mineralization
• association of gold and hydrotermal hematite
• the presence of redox barrier containing copper sulphides deposit
on the reduce side and gold mineralization within the red,
secondary oxided sediments (SOS)
• the correlation of platinum and palladium with maximum gold
concetration is restricted only to the maroon variety of the
Kupferschiefer. No other PGM’s were observed in the deposit.
52. Characteristics of organic mater from Mitu Formation, Peru
TOC - total organic carbon content
OI - oxidation index
HI - hydrogen index
S1 - oil and gas yield mgHC/g rock
S2 - residual hydrocarbon potential (mg HC/g of rock);
S3 - (mg CO2 /g rock);
PI - production index S1 /(S1 + S)2
