3. I thought the library was just about
borrowing books…these tutorials
showed me it had so much more to
offer.
Just to say when I started here as
an undergraduate, the library
training was the singular most
important thing I did. It helped me
hugely.
As a mature student who hasn’t studied
for quite some time, I found all the
sessions very helpful…all in all, LIST
sessions are a fantastic introduction for
any student to college life.

without being overwhelming –

7. Development
Reviewed all LIST Sessions for September
2015. Reduced number of library face to
face sessions.
WHY?
Some sessions had low attendance and
were more suited to online tutorials.
Experimented with the following tools
for creating online support.
Decided one product that could include
animated pictures, videos and quizzes
would be best. It also would keep the
style of the tutorials consistent.
What Product?
8. The Future
• Project started November 2015 and continuing with one full time
Library Assistant and one part time Assistant Librarian
• Full suite of LIST online using Articulate Storyline 2 currently being
developed to be ready for September 2016
• Tutorials will be hosted via Moodle and/or Libguides
• Videos of services provided in the library to be included
• Support material from external trainers will also feature
